1) μ-term hybrid inflation addresses the μ problem of the MSSM by generating a μ-term proportional to the gravitino mass when the inflaton field acquires a non-zero vacuum expectation value after supersymmetry breaking. 2) The model is successfully implemented with gravitino masses between 1-100 TeV and can achieve reheating temperatures as low as 107 GeV, satisfying constraints from Big Bang Nucleosynthesis. 3) Introducing a non-minimal Kähler potential allows the model to generate successful inflation dynamics consistent with Planck data, solve cosmological problems, and lead to a split supersymmetry scenario with supersymmetry breaking masses above 5×107 GeV.

Motivation

Gravitno problem and reheating temperature

Standard Model (SM) Higgs is unnatural! Naturalness provides a strong

belief in emergence of physics beyond SM.

The Big Bang Nucleosynthesis (BBN) constrains by imposing an upper

bound on reheating temperature:

Supersymmetry (a symmetry between bosons and fermions), results in

cancellation of divergences with respect of SM Higgs.
