Introductorynote:WhenmyinnerMuseguidedmetowritethisarticle,Ihadnoideahowwellthe
principlesintroducedinitwouldwork.Sincethen,I'veappliedtheseprinciplesseveraltimes,and
foundthemveryeffective.

ThisarticleisbaseduponthefactthatinVedicastrology,thetrueplanetsMercury,Venus,
Mars,JupiterandSaturneachruletwosigns,andthereforealsoruletwohouses.Thetwohouses
ruledbyaplanethavethemesincommon,whichthenbecomeconfluentlyaffectedbythecondition
andplacementoftheirruler.

Iftheplanetisstrongandwellplaced,thenthethemes(especiallythepositiveones)arelikelytobe
augmented,butiftheplanetisweakandpoorlyplaced,mostofthethemeswillbedestabilizedand
thechallengeswillbemagnified.

ThePlusandMinusSigns:The+andcolumns.Inadditiontothecolumnsindicatingtherising
sign,housesruled,andthesharedthemes,thereareoneortwoadditionalcolumnsthatshowone
ortwoplussigns(+)oroneminussign().Thesecolumnsrevealthe"tilt"theleantowardsthe
