Before preparing Functional Spec, you need to
understand clearly the Business requirement and ensure
the requirement is not available in standard. After
getting the exact requirement from Business, you need
to pass on the requirement to ABAPers via Functional
Spec where you need to indicate what tables and fields
they need to consider, whether it can be executed in
foreground or only background etc., In your case, since
you have indicated, the requirement is related to open
 sale order, consider table VBBE. But as I said already,
before developing any report, ensure it is not available in
standard.
