The Selenia Dimensions system features unique
combo-mode technology, which allows you to
quickly acquire a traditional digital mammogram (2D)
and a breast tomosynthesis (3D) scan in the same
compression for perfectly co-registered images.
Combo-mode technology overview: Step 1: Acquires 15 projections in a

15-degree continuous moving arc.
Step 1 - 3D tomosynthesis acquisition: 15 projection images
are acquired with 1-degree intervals in a 4-second sweep
for shorter acquisition time and better in-plane resolution.
Step 2 - 2D image acquisition: tube head returns to center;
a 2D image is acquired under the same compression,
providing perfectly co-registered 2D & 3D breast
tomosynthesis images.
10-12 seconds total for both 2D and 3D breast
