DEFINITION
Isometric drawing is a method for WIKIPEDIA:
The term "isometric" comes
visually representing 3D (three- from the Greek for "equal
measure", reflecting that
dimensional) objects in two the scale along each axis of
dimensions in technical or the projection is the same
engineering drawings.

Angle must be 30 each side (right/left)
FUNDAMENTAL
Isometric lines parallel to isometric axis
Non-isometric lines- lines that not parallel to
isometric axis
Note:
Half circle is not half
ellipse, so to create
half circle u need to
switch on the quadrant
snap and use trim
command.
ISOMETRIC METHOD IN AUTOCAD
Begin with setting up your drafting from standard to
Isometric
Expand the snap area and click snap setting

CIRCLE DIMENSION
For circle the
annotation is by using
Leader type.
Make sure you switch
on the Quadrant snap.
CIRCLE DIMENSION
U can choose either radius or
diameter to be displayed.
Diameter symbol can be
found in the symbol tab on
the top of the text editor bar.
For radius, you can directly
key in the radius symbol of
r.
After the symbol, then you
need to key in the value
manually.
COMPLETE
Your drawing are now
complete and ready for
title block insertion and
plotting.
The step for title block
insertion, scales, view
port, and plotting are the
same as we learned in 2D
geometrical construction.
Make sure you choose a
proper scale that cover all
the elements of your
drawing and specify in
your title block content.
EXERCISE 1
Convert this orthographic
drawing into isometric drawing
2D wireframe by using method
that you have learned just now.
Unit = mm
Use point A as the projection
point.
