TIOXIDE TR88
A great choice for versatility
TIOXIDE TR88 pigment is a rutile titanium dioxide pigment, specially
developed for the coatings market. It is a high quality, versatile grade that can
be used for both interior and exterior applications.

TIOXIDE TR88 pigment provides excellent colour, opacity and good durability
in a range of low VOC paint formulations, including high quality interior matt
and semi-gloss emulsions, exterior wood finishes and masonry paint.

The above chart shows the four typical areas into which TIOXIDE TiO2
pigment grades of differing durability fall. Highly durable TiO2 pigment
grades have good resistance to weathering (gloss loss & colour fading),
as they are designed to minimise the photocatalytic activity of the TiO2.

Huntsman does not recommend any of its titanium dioxide pigments for use in
lead-stabilised, rigid PVC formulations.

SAFETY, HEALTH As for all fine powders, the handling of titanium dioxide pigments can give rise to
airborne dust. Good industrial hygiene practice should be observed so as to avoid the

STORAGE AND The pigment should not be stored in outside areas exposed to the weather. All direct
contact with moisture should be avoided. By storing the pigment correctly, its properties

recommended that the product is used on a first in, first out basis from receipt of
shipment.
