Roles and Responsibilities

Testing and commissioning of different types of water & waste water treatment

Closing the punch points & handing over the plants. Supervision of plants
Operation and Maintenance and preparation of site reports
Commissioning and Calibration of various Analytical Instruments like pH
meter,conductivity, Turbidity, chlorine, DO and Hardness analyzers.
Commissioning, calibration and troubleshooting of various types of Instruments
such as flow meters(electromagnetic,DP based and Vortex types), Level
Transmitters(Ultrasonic, Radar and DP based), Pressure Transmitters and

Testing and Commissioning various pneumatic and motorized actuators and
Valves.

3. Project : CETP Ambur Effluent Treatment Plant(MBR and Reverse

Osmosis)
Company : VA Tech Wabag, Chennai.
Job Position : Instrumentation Engineer.
Duration : June 2010 to August 2012.
Worked as GET in VA Tech Wabag from June 2009 May 2010.
Roles and Responsibilities

Loop checking, testing and commissioning of Schneider and Siemens VFD, Soft
starters and MCC panels for various types of Motors (pumps, blowers etc.)
Maintenance and Troubleshooting of Fire Alarm Panels (Autronica), and H2S
Alarm panels.
Loop checking, testing and commissioning of Siemens s7-400 PLC, and
Schneider Modicon Premium PLC Panels.
Loop checking, Testing, Commissioning, calibration and maintenance of various
Instruments including Pressure Gauges, switches and Transmitters (Ashcroft,
E&H and Rosemount), Electromagnetic Flowmeters (E&H, Krohne Marshall),
Thermal Mass Flowmeters ( E&H), Level switches, Level Transmitters (E&H
ultrasonic, Bubbler and guided radar types) etc. in preliminary, primary,
secondary and tertiary liquid Streams.
Commissioning and Maintenance of Motorized Valves (actuators) and Penstocks
with electric-drive (AUMA and Rotork) and pneumatic Actuators (Elo-matic).

Testing, commissioning and maintenance of Analyzers including DO, ORP, PH,
NO2, Conductivity and Turbidity (E&H) meters at inlet and outlet of RO
membranes and Bioreactor.
Achievements
Got selected by KEPPEL SEGHERS for a special training from PUBLIC UTILITIES
BOARD SINGAPORE on Water treatment operations and undergone the training
during April 2013 in Singapore.
Got a special Appreciation certificate from VA Tech Wabag for successfully
implementing a modification in PLC program for increasing the efficiency of the
plant operation.
