    ASSESSMENT EVALUATION REPORT OF SEMINAR-WORKSHOP PARTICIPANTS FROM THE PHILIPPINE ARMY:

    Over-all evaluation:

    1. Newswriting The participants exhibited VERY GOOD performance in understanding the lecture inputs
    as reflected in their output, considering the fact that it is merely the first journalistic skills transfer
    activity with Bicol University College of Arts and Letters (BUCAL).
    Suggestion:
    a. More trainings pertinent to news writing may be done to further improve their skill.
    b. Continuous practice in writing news is a good activity.

    c. Hosting one-hour public affairs program at the BU-FM 106.3 Mhz

    The participants exhibited OUTSTANDING broadcast output in handling a one-hour public affairs
    program, showing spontaneity in the program flow and mastery of the topics discussed. Conversational
    tone also spiced the broadcast output.

    Needs Improvement in the following:

    a. Observing proper distance of microphone to the mouth for stable volume output.
    b. Providing brief background of topics before full-blown discussion.
    c. Explaining to the audience\listeners the topics being discussed after a 10-minute or 15-minute
    discussion to make sure that the audience can follow through the shifting in topics.
