I learned to approach racing like a game of billiards. If you bash the ball too hard, you
get nowhere. As you handle the cue properly, you drive with more finesse.
BADMINTON

Badminton is like
a ballet dancing. It
requires a lot of
control, strength,
mind play
measured
movement.
This unit in
badminton was
really fun and I
really enjoyed it.
At the start of the
unit I barely knew
any of the rules of
badminton. What I
only knew was
that you had to hit
the shuttle over
the net.
TABLE TENNIS

Table tennis is a
perfect combination of
violent action taking
place in an atmosphere
of total tranquility.
THE
CULMINATING
PROGRAM
During the badminton unit, I learned a new shot almost every lesson. Some of them I
knew how to do where others I have no clue on how to do. I learned how to do overhead
shots, the forehand and backhand drive, the drop shot and the smash. Choosing my
partners and opponents carefully was very important. It was a key factor which would also
help me improve my skills.
At first, I thought that it would be very hard for me to learn billiard because from what I
noticed to those billiard players they were serious in playing. And, when my instructor
shows the different techniques and different positions I realize that it wouldnt be difficult
as I expected. It was very challenging for I have no idea how to play it. I practiced the
different positions and techniques. In playing the billiard with 3 balls, I was so nervous
while holding the cue because it was my instructor who would be the opponent. And as
what was expected, I only struck the cue ball and hit one ball only.
Playing table tennis has been a blast for me for the past few days learning new types of
hits and tactics. In addition to singles games, I also enjoyed playing in doubles teams. I
learned more than I expected, such as serving diagonally from the right, as well as letting
each player in the team hit in a pattern. Furthermore I was able to execute two different
rotation patterns.
As some people may think physical education is just throwing the ball out and telling the
kids to play. Physical education and sport have been described in many terms and it is
not always clear what the differences between them are, the definitions of both as stated
below are just some of many: Sport is an athletic activity requiring skill or physical prowess
and often of a competitive nature, as billiard, badminton and table tennis. Sport is
commonly used to describe a physical activity that has a competitive element, whether
played by a professional or a keen enthusiast. Physical Education is the systematic
instruction in sports, exercises, and hygiene given as part of a school or college program..
How important is a physical education class for a college student? For most college
students it doesn't seem too important. Some students don't have much time in their
schedule to take a class they will not need. But most likely college students could use a
little exercise. A physical education class in college should be optional for Physical
education should be recommend and everyone should know about it, but keep it optional.
Not all majors need a physical education class. However, in most cases it would be a
good idea for the student to get some exercise.
