NOTES:
1) Use of Incinerators in port, anchorages,ECA etc. shall be subject to port/coastal regulations. In ECA , incineration is prohibited in Baltic.
2) Incineration of Plastics is prohibited, though the incinerator may be designed to burn PVCs.
3) Incineration of wastes containing PCBs(Polychlorinated biphenyles), residues of cargo oil (Annex.1 substances),residues of noxious and harmful substances(Refer to Anx.II & III subs
code substances, garbage containing more than traces of heavy metals and refined petroleum products containing halogen compounds are prohibited.
4) Monitoring of combustion chamber temperature shall be required at all times and waste shall not be fed into a continuous - feed shipboard incinerator when the temperature is below t
allowed temperature of 850 deg c.
5) If Incinerator is not fitted with an O2 monitor, the average O2 percentage stated in the 'Type Approval Certificate' may be used for recording in this form.
