Dear Playing for Others,

It is with great interest that I enclose my resume for the Supporting Music Advisor
position. With extensive music related experience, I believe that I can be an asset to your
organization.

I am a holder of an Associate of Arts from Rockingham Community College and a B.A. in

Vocal Performance from Queens University of Charlotte.

Over the three years, I have had the opportunity to perform at several recreational centers
for the Color & Jazz program through Nicci Canada and Dapper Street productions. During
my time at Queens, I have had the privilege of performing for many different events and
venues, including two Salons put on by the Board of Trustees and the Arts at Queens, as
well as starring in the musical production of “The Drunkard.” I also gave a solo recital in
March of 2017, which consisted of repertoire from the Classical period to 20 th century
musical theatre.

I completed 4 semesters as a Resident Assistant at Queens University. Through this

position, I gained management, resource, and organizational skills. In high school, I also
volunteered at Morehead Memorial Hospital’s childcare center, where I was able to
connect to and teach small children.

I am an outgoing and amiable person, who enjoys getting to know others. I believe that my
qualifications and experience would definitely serve your Summer program well. I hope
that you will consider me for your Supporting Music Advisor position. I look forward to
hearing from you in the near future.

Sincerely,
Jonathan E. Smith
