ROUTINE TEST: FOLLOWING ROUTINE TESTS AS IEC-62271-100/200 HAVE BEEN

CONDUCTED.

1. OPERATION TEST ON SWITCHING DEVICE :

(i) 5 closing and 5 opening operations at 110% of rated supply voltage.
(ii) 5 closing operations at 85% and 5 opening operations at 70% of rated supply voltage.
(iii) 5 close - open operations at rated supply voltage with trip circuit energized by closing of the main contacts.
(iv) 5 closing and 5 opening operations by Mechanical ON / OFF Push Buttons.
2. CHECKING OF WIRING :
All electrical wiring, relays, meters, switches, indicating lamps and controls are checked and verified as per wiring
drawing requirements.
3. MECHANICAL OPERATIONS TEST :
Insertion and withdrawal of removable parts and interlocks between removable part and fixed portion is checked for
satisfactory operation.
4. DIELECTRIC TESTS :
(i) Power Frequency H.V. Test of the main circuit is carried out at 28kV for one minute on the Panel duly assembled
(ii) Power Frequency voltage test on auxiliary and control circuit is carried out at 2kV for one minute.

5. DIELECTRIC TESTS (CONTROL CIRCUIT):
Power frequency voltage test on auxiliary and control circuit As per IEC-62271-

1. Applied 2KV for one minute between control circuit wire
shorted together and LV compartment earth part.
6. PRIMARY CURRENT INJECTION:
Operation test on the CTs, meters etc. will be done by
primary current injection. The current source shall be
connected to the cable terminals in the panel. The
operation of meters shall be checked. All trip circuit
continuity will be checked.

6. CONTACT RESISTANCE TEST:
The VBC contact resistance value to be measured by
applying 100A current to R, Y, B phases with testing kit.

7. VISUAL INSPECTION (LV COMPARTMENT):
