· As the office assistant, I have office duties such as filing paperwork, accepting payments, and emailing newsletters. I also
contribute to the maintenance work such as emptying the trash, sweeping, and vacuuming. I occasionally teach dance
classes when needed.

· During this lab, I was placed in a 3rd grade classroom. I designed and administered pre and post assessments to measure
students’ knowledge before and after teaching subject units. I developed a social studies unit covering Lyndon B.
Johnson and integrated art and science. I also designed lessons catering to students’ personal experiences and current
events.

· I designed and administered pre and post assessments to measure students ’ knowledge before and after teaching
subject units. I developed and taught a math unit increasing students’ fluency in perimeter and area and integrated
language arts. I assessed 3 struggling students in order to design and teach a re-engagement lesson to give them extra
support.

· I administered running records to students to measure their fluency, comprehension and phonics levels. I also
constructed a reading diagnostics kit designed to target, diagnose and correct student issues in phonemic awareness,
phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension and writing.

· I am the recipient of the Wesleyan Merit Scholarship and Gary Lee Education scholarship.
· I have been listed to the Wesleyan College Provost’s List every semester since Spring 2015.
· I served as the advertising and marketing representative on Wesleyan’s Campus Activities Board (CAB) from 2016-
2018, where I brainstormed new and exciting ways to advertise the next upcoming event.

· I was the president of the Wesleyan Admissions Volunteer Experience (WAVE) from 2015-2017, where I helped
organize and facilitate events for prospective students. I also gave campus tours to give a student perspective of college
life.
· I am the Commissions Chair of STUNT, which is a 121-year-old tradition that provides scholarships for rising seniors.
As Commissions Chair, it is my duty to organize the committee members in selling ads, tickets, and Glad You’re Here Lines.
· Since 2013, I have taught Children’s Church at New Piney Grove Baptist Church, teaching meaningful lessons to 4-10
year olds, as well as training one of the teen girls to take my place as teacher upon graduation.
