WIND-POWERED
GOPRO CAMERA
CHARGER ON A
HELMET
A RESEARCH PROPOSAL PRESENTED TO THE FACULTY OF ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING
COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING, ADAMSON UNIVERSITY
MANILA, PHILIPPINES
INTRODUCTION
The researchers formulated some questions that will serve as guidelines for the
methodology and gathering data as follows:
• For GoPro camera charging, how much should be the input voltage?
• How to convert this varying voltage to a constant 5V charging output?
• How long it will take to fully charge a GoPro camera?
• What are the advantages and disadvantages of this project?

METHODOLOGY
Testing if the proposed study will charge the GoPro and other devices at
a constant voltage.
• DC Motor
• Capacitor
• Voltage Regulator (LM7805)
• Blades
• Helmet
METHODOLOGICAL FRAMEWORK
After gathering the materials, the next thing that the
researchers will do is making a mini wind turbine using the
DC motor and the blades of the fan. The researchers must
attach the blades of the fan to the DC motor so that when
wind energy is present the blades of the fan will turn the
motor resulting in producing electricity as the wind passes
by the blades of the fan.
After that the researchers will attach the mini wind turbine to a helmet. A
voltage regulator must be connected to the end of the motor.
