UA5000 LMG IPMD –

OPERATION &
MAINTENANCE GUIDE

1. LOGIN
– Similar to PVM login – Here Login to IPM NE
2. Hardware Maintenance
– Similar to PVM Hardware Maintenance
3. Alarm Monitoring
– Similar to PVM Alarm Monitoring.

During initial Configuration The EMU is added & configured in PVM Board, So
the Monitoring of EMU comes under PVM only. Not in IPM.

4. Connectivity Status
Note: In all the LMGs the IPM ETH Ports (Port 0,1,2& 3-External Ports) are used for connecting
Uplink and/or cascading connectivity. Port 6 & Port 7 which are internal are connected with the
PVMD Board.

To check the uplink port connectivity status – Login to LMG-IPMD and interface
with active IPM card (IPM 0/2 or 0/3 – whichever is active).
Commands:
(config)#interface ipm 0/2 <active IPM card> // IPM in 0/2 Slot is active
(config-if-ipm-0/2)#display port state all // Displays the status of all ports of IPMD.
The status of Ports should be ONLINE which are connected to uplink and other devices.

U2000:
NE Panel > Check the Active IPM Card – The Lower half of the tab below NE Panel shows the Frame, Slot
& Port Information.
Double click on Active IPM Card – Shows the Port status.
Green Indicator – The Ports are ONLINE
Red Indicator – The Ports are OFFLINE
5. Broad Band Port Creation & Checking its Status
LOGIN to IPM
Note: For creating Broad Band User HSI VLAN/outer VLAN (unique to each LMG) should
be bound on Uplink Port.

1.Configuring Outer VLAN, VPI, VCI and Receive & Transmit Traffic indices on Subscriber Port.
Commands:
(config)#service-port vlan 4061<HSI VLAN> adsl 0/7/0 vpi 0 vci 35 rx-cttr 6 tx-cttr 6
(config)#stacking label 0/7/0 vpi 0 vci 35 128 <inner vlan>

Displaying the configured service Port.


Command:
(config)#display service-port frame/slot/port

Also we can display the configured ports by all, Board, Port, VLAN & number.
(config)#display service-port all
2.Configuring Different ADSL LINE Profiles on Subscriber Port.

Displaying the available ADSL LINE Profiles.


Command:
(config)#display adsl line-profile

Configuring the required line-Profile on Subscriber Port.


Command:
(config)#interface adsl 0/7
(config-if-adsl-0/7)#display port state 0

Initial status of the Port is activating with default profile 1002

(config-if-adsl-0/7)#deactivate 0 // deactivate the port 0


(config-if-adsl-0/7)#activate 0 profile-index 2 //Activate the port with required ADSL profile-index
Note:
1.When the Port is in default configuration or it is configured with user data – The status is ‘Activating’
2.When the Port is Deactivated by operator – The status is ‘Deactivated’
3.When the MODEM is connected to the Port and DSL link is up - The status of the Port is ‘Activated’

U2000:
Open IPM-NE Panel > Right Click on CSRB Board > Port view or double click on CSRB Board – Opens
ADSL Port list window. In ADSL Port list window the upper part shows the List of all Ports of the
Subscriber Board and its status. The lower part shows the different parameters of the Port.
Port View Window

Indicates the status of the Port is - Activated.

Indicates the status of the Port is - Activating.

Indicates the status of the Port is - Deactivated.


6. VOIP (SIP PHONE) User Creation & Checking its Status
Note: For creating SIP Phone User VOIP VLAN 4014 should be bind on Uplink Port.
The VOIP Service can be given only in CSRB Card.
Commands:
(config)#service-port vlan 4014 adsl 0/6/1 vpi 1 vci 35 rx-cttr 6 tx-cttr 6
(config)#display service-port vlan 4014

U2000:
NE PANEL > Double Click on CSRB Board > Opens ADSL Port List Window – Check the Port list in
the upper Part & Port info in the Lower Part.
