SEMI-DETAILED LESSON PLAN FOR CONTEMPORARY PHILIPPINES ARTS FROM THE REGIONS

I. OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:

1. Enumerate the different arts made from the coconut leaves.


2. Give importance to the different uses of coconut leaves in art making.
3. To demonstrate how to make a simple arts through the use of coconut leaves.

II. Subject Matter: Local materials used as applied to contemporary art.


Different web site sources. And youtube videos
III. Materials: Laptop, TV, coconut leaves, scissors and cutter.

IV. Procedures:
a) Greetings.
b) Classroom cleanliness
b) Checking of Attendance
d) Motivation: Flash the different artworks made from the coconut leaves and ask the
students what local materials used for the art.

e) Lesson Proper: Classroom discussions with the uses of coconut leaves in arts.

The video of coconut leaves art making will be played and the students will be able to
learn the steps on how to make an art out of coconut leaves.

f) Activity: The students are being asked to make an art out of coconut leaves by following

V. Generalization: Give one uses of coconut leaves in art making. Can you find this art in the
different regions of the Philippines?

VI. Evaluation: Let the students answer the following.


1. Explain the importance of coconut leaves.
2. What are the uses of coconut leaves?
3. Give an activity in the Philippines where you can see the art of a coconut leaves.

VII. Assignment: Let the students make their own different artworks using coconut leaves.
