Preface

Preface to first Edition

We as human beings are creatures of action, in our daily lives we exist in decisions
we make and also shape our future. Actions are outcomes of conscious steps we
make, borne out of sustained intelligence and experience, we have gathered over the
time.
Ethics as a discipline, guides human actions, which have to be righteous and
truthful, more so as engineers, the architects of modern world we need to shoulder
greater responsibility towards the purposive human growth.
“Growth without values is but hollow”
This book tends to capture the essence of ethics in general and engineering ethics
in particular, comprehensively addresses the new areas of CSR and Global ethics.
The book also caters to the existing theoretical underpinnings in a lucid manner.
The question bank with 150 + question has been designed to cater to the practice
requirements for the engineering services. The question have been divided into 3
segements,- Basic, Advanced and Decision Making, to acclimatize the students
towards better learning.
It is an honest endeavour to orient and cater to the needs of the novel syllabus .
Hope students would benefit and recommend.
We are always open to suggestions and reform.
