The proposed Barangay-Based Youth Empowerment Program aims to empower young people through community-based education, mentoring, employment readiness and enrichment programs. What do we do?

Primary Program: Community-Based mentoring


Secondary Program: ALS, after school program, TESDA learning skills training in the
Barangay
COMMUNITY-BASED RE-INTEGRATION –
COMMUNITY-BASED MENTORING – the community based mentoring program will reaches
our young people early on in their lives in order to prevent later involvement in the juvenile
system. The program aims to enrol young people ages 8-18 years old who are not court-
involved, but at risk for justice system involvement and may be exhibiting pre-delinquent
advocate where they receive supportive services.

COMMUNITY-BASED PREVENTION (CBP) - a program design to support young people


connected to the family in needs of services program. Young people in our community will be
benefit the following; intensive mentoring, counselling and wrap-around supportive services that
help them succeed at home, school and in the community itself.

COMMUNITY-BASED INTEGRATION (CBI) - this community-based integration should


establish by the Barangay Council Youth Committee to support the young people who have
engage in the juvenile justice system and who are under the supervision of the City’s
SSDD/DSWD. The Barangay Youth empowerment committee will have to ensures that our
young people participants establish meaningful connections with caring adults and will receive
individualized case management services to maintain community connections and avoid moving
into “ out-of-home” placement.
