2. Extract the entire contents of the zip file to a new folder on your hard drive.
Warning:
Updating from C-Setup 6.x to C-Setup 7.x requires a complete uninstallation of
C-Setup 6.x. Failure to remove the previous version will produce unexpected
results.
3. Double click the C-Setup vX.Y.Z Installer.exe file to start the installation wizard.
4. Ensure that all Windows programs are closed then select Next > to proceed.
5. Choose the Destination Location then select Next > to proceed. The default
installation location is C:\Program Files\C-Nav\C-Setup. For 64-bit Windows 7
computers the default installation location is C:\Program Files (x86)\C-Nav\C-
Setup.
6. Select a Program Folder to add a C-Setup shortcut in the Windows Start menu
and select Next > to continue. The default folder is “C-Nav”.
7. Optionally, check the Create a desktop icon box to create a Desktop shortcut to
C-Setup. For Windows XP computers, there is also an additional option to
Create a Quick Launch icon.
3. Use File / New to create a new device window. Choose the correct Device Type
of the GPS receiver and then select a Device Name and Device Color to help
differentiate connected receivers.
5. Select the communications settings for the connected receiver. For a serial port,
select the Port Name, Baud Rate, Parity, Data Bits, and Stop Bits; or let C-Setup
determine the settings by selecting Auto Baud. The C-Nav3050 and NMEA183
devices can also be connected via an Ethernet connection. To connect via
Ethernet, select the Protocol then enter the Remote Address and Remote Port.
6. Allow 2-5 seconds for C-Setup to establish communication with the device. C-
