Adventure turism: is increasingly seen , tourists are willing to take risks and have special skills and
training in performing some extreme sports, such as: climbing, diving, bungee, rafting, etc.
Example: 1- Torres del Paine. Chile. 2- San Pedro de Atacama. Chuile. 3- Pucón. Chile. 4-
Kanchenjunga. Himalaya.
Birth turism: this tourism is very recurrent in citizens from more vulnerable countries, so babies
have a stability, social and economic depending on where they are born.
Example: 1- Santiago- Chile. 2-New York-USA. 3-Tokyo. Japan. 4- Hong Kong- China.
Culinary Turism: consists of tasting food endemic to each sector. are visited vineyards, farms, cities
or towns in which they are distinguished by their gastronomy.
Cultural Turism: this focuses on the diversity of traditions, culture, religion, gastronomy that exists
in different regions or countries.
Dark Tourism: this tourism is centered in places of great pain, of tragedies that have marked the
history. of countries and / or worldwide.
Disaster Tourism: is tourism dedicated to places where major disasters occurred, is a tourism that
is not very well seen but is sold in the same way.
Doom Tourism: refers to places of interest that are under some kind of environmental or human
threat, this can deteriorate the affected site more quickly.
Drug Tourism: consists of going to places where drugs are sold, legitimate or illegitimate, can be
given for different uses.
Ecoturism: it is about traveling to places where flora and fauna are the main attractions, this
implies that it is a socially and environmentally responsible trip, including geotourism and
agritourism.
Example: 1- Costa Rica. 2- Norway; Masai Mara. 3- Selva Valdiviana. 4- Norwegian Fjords.
Genealogy Turism: focuses on traveling to countries or cities from where their ancestors come to
know their roots.
LGBT Tourism: the well-known gay tourism, within this are lesbians, bisexuals, etc., travel agencies
are making more and more trips to various destinations
Medical Tourism: consists of traveling patients to receive medical attention. includes treatments,
surgeries, alternative healing methods, euthanasia is also included.
Nautical Tourism: is focused on holiday activities with navigation, mostly seen in Europe, fishing is
done, Snorkel. among others.
Religious Tourism: the people travel in groups normally, to peregrinate, in sacred places, temples,
churches, mosques, they look for the connection with God.
Sex Turism: dedicated travels around sex, travel to countries, cities or cruises where several sexual
practices are allowed including postitution, sometimes there are problems since child prostitution
is clearly seen.
