63 Interview Questions

It is almost impossible to predict what you will be asked in an interview. There are some
very common questions (such as the first two below) but dependent on the skill,
experience and background of the interviewer second guessing questions is a tricky
business.

The solution to this issue is to improve your overall interview technique. This ensures that
regardless of the question you have been asked you should be able to find a suitable
answer to it. This list of interview questions is therefore meant to aid practice and
preparation but not as a prediction tool for the questions that may arise.

We have decided to include quite an extensive range of questions to illustrate the variety
that is exhibited in an interview. We can almost certainly guarantee that every question
on this list has been asked on an interview, somewhere in the world in the last couple of
weeks…

3) What would you consider your development needs to be?
4) Why do you want to work for us?
5) Based on your research what do you think is most important to us as an
employer?
6) Why do you feel you are suitable for this job?
7) What makes you better than the other candidates I am meeting?
8) Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?

10) Do you feel you are better than me?
11) Give me an example of a time you were a member of a failing team and the steps
you took to correct the situation?
12) Tell me about a time where you were asked to disobey company policy by a
customer/colleague and the steps you took to action this?
13) What was/is the reason for leaving your previous/current employer?
14) Why do you think this (insert industry) is right for you?
15) In your career to date, where do you feel you could have done better?
16) What major mistakes have you made in your career so far?
17) Why are you a good team-player?
18) How have you dealt with difficult colleagues?
19) How have you handled difficult customers?
20) How do you react to change in the work place?
