    What is Heaven Stems ?

    Heaven Stems are directions represented by ten characters. These characters are the
    combinations of both Yin and Yang and Five Elements. There are only eight characters
    used for directions of a compass as the other two characters 戊 (Wu) and 己 (Ji) are
    located in the centre of the compass.

    What is Trigram (Ba Gua) ?

    Ba Gua is an octagonal pattern. There are eight guas in total and is also known as Eight
    Trigrams. There are only four guas used for directions of a compass which includes
    Kun(坤), Xun(巽), Qian(乾) and Gen(艮).
