INTRODUCTION OF THE DOUGH MAKING
MIXING MACHINE
This machine design evaluates the manual, tiresome old traditional method of mixing dough. This new
machine ‘The unga mixer’ provides a faster, simpler and more convenient way of mixing dough from its
components of water, flow and little oil to the final product which is the dough to make the chapattis.

This machine is designed for large scale production [when a large amount of chapattis are needed] this
may include restaurants, hotels, institutional cafeterias, and even and can be hired for making chapattis
in ceremonies and events.

The ‘unga mix’ machine is a solution to economizing production in the various areas stated above and
also caters increases the production of chapattis indirectly per unit time.

PARTS OF THE MACHINE

I. MOTOR

The motor in this machine will n=be necessary.

It will drive the mixed machine.

II. THE BELT

The belt will be installed in the machine so as to enhance the rotation of the shaft.

III. THE SPIRAL SHAFT

Like any other machine, it will have to be installed with a shaft.

This is for the machine to properly function and achieve the required goal intended for the dough mixing
machine.

The shaft will rotate.

Here, the shaft will work with one aim that is to push the contents of the chapatti to the mixer.
IV. BEARINGS

The machine will also be required to have bearings for example ball bearings etc.

Its purpose will be to facilitate rotation of the shaft.

V. CYLINDRICAL CASING

The machine will have to be cased.

This will be done by using a cylindrical case.

Its purpose will be to protect the contents of the machine.

It may also be used to make the machine a little more attractive.

It may also be used to maintain the machine for wear or tear.

VI. THE CYLINDRICAL INLET

The machine may be installed with an inlet.

This may be necessary because at this inlet is where the contents of the machine will be placed for it to
be mixed accordingly.

It acts as a funnel in this machine.

VII. THE SPOUT

Here, when the machine is done mixing is where the final product is got from.

VIII. THE STAND

Like any other stand of other machines, this stand will be used to mount the machine.

IX. SWITCH

This machine will work with principles of electricity that is to mean it will run using electric energy.
So this is to say that a switch will be connected to turn on or off the machine.

X. WIRE

This will connect the machine to the switch.

It will transmit the electric energy to the machine from the switch when it is switched on basically.
MAINTENANCE REQUIREMENTS
 The machine should always be thoroughly cleaned after use to avoid the contamination of the
chapattis.

 Cleaning will also prevent rusting of the machine.

 The machine should also be kept in a cool and dry place if it is not in use.

 The bearings enhancing the movement in the machine may be greased to prevent rusting.

 In case a part of the machine breaks during working process, then that part of the machine
should be replaced by a new one.

ADVANTAGES
 It is a very fast method of making chapatti dough.
 It is saves time.
 It requires very little electric energy hence cost efficient.
 It makes chapattis dough with evenly distributed contents.
 It is affordable to buy maintain.

DISADVANTAGES
 It may contaminate the dough if not properly cleaned.

THE MARKET
The main aim of the machine is to make work easier in the preparation and making of chapattis.

If it happens that the machine is incorporated into the food industry;

It will boost cash inflow into restaurants by;

Saving on time

Reducing man power/labour costs.

CONCLUSION
This machine is an innovation that may improve the economy by aiding restaurants and the normal day
activities of the societies.
