Universal Design for Learning (UDL): When UDL is used in the classrooms, the students have the ability for
voice and choice which can raise the LoTi level for all students. This lesson uses a template for the students to
read as well as listen to my transcript for those students who need it.

Lesson idea implementation: The teacher will read remind students that we are teaching the phases of the
moon and refer back to our chart that we had created on day one. We will review the phases in order from
the first of the month by to the last of the month. It is important that students learning and can identify the
different phases.
After the class, when students go home, they will record the phases of the moon for seven days. Once hose
seven days are up, they will take their charts and create a graph on the computer and then compare their
data to other students in the class.

Importance of technology: The technology will come into play if the students leave their chart at the
classroom, then they can go to the classroom blog to review. If the parents get confused at the assignment, it
will be listed on the classroom blog. Another apart of the assignment that will involve technology is at the end
when the students collect and create their data on the computer.

Inspiration (optional):

Internet Safety and Student Privacy: My blog will be set to a private account that each student and parents
will need to password in order to complete or review the assignment. Their might be parts of the account that
will not be private, but anything that has students work or assignment will be set to private.

After I designed this lesson, I feel that the entire lesson will be interactive and very engaging for the students.
Not only do my students get to follow the moon and the phases that it goes through but all my students can
have their parents involved with this assignment. I will provide everything that the students will need to
complete this lesson just in case a family does not have the means to do so.
