SANGGUNIANG KABATAAN SPECIAL ELECTION

Activity Design

RATIONALE
Pursuant to Republic Act 10742, there shall be in every barangay a Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) to be
composed of a Chairperson and seven (7) members. However, Per result of the May 14, 2018 election,
Barangay _______________ have incomplete set of SK Kagawad(s) for some reasons. Thus, DILG
Memorandum Circular 2018-212 dated December 20, 2018 was issued to provide Guidelines in the
conduct of Special elections to fill-up the vacancies in the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) pursuan to Section
19 of republic Act 10742 or the SK Reform Act of 2015.

OBJECTIVES
The activity aims to conduct a smooth and peaceful Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Sepcial election to
complete the membership of SK in Barangay _______________________.

PARTICIPANTS
The activity will be attended by the registered Katipunan ng Kabataan (KK) members, Board of Election
Supervisors (BES) composed of MLGOO, Local Comelec officer, and 1 CSO representative, 1 PNP officer,
and the SK officials of Barangay ________________________. (broken down as follows)
