Sound System
Although the Sound System industry is still relatively young, it also has a long journey. The era where
the birth of the transducer (microphone & loudspeaker) was marked as the forerunner to the era
where the sound system industry began. In 1874, Ernst Wener Von Siemens was the first person to
explain the working principle of the Transducer. Then Siemens got a Patent in America for its
discovery on April 14, 1874. In 1876, Alexander Graham Bell patented his invention, which was
named Telephone, which this tool also functions to transmit sound, this tool is also considered the
first Microphone in the world.

Then on December 14, 1877, Ernst W Siemens

again patented its discovery in Germany. The
invention was in the form of "Non-magnetic

parchment diaphragm" as a radiator that was
combined with the previous invention
(Transducer). So this discovery explains the
function of Horn as a tool to amplify sound, and
this is called the Loudspeaker that was first used in
the world. At that time this device was already
very popularly used as a Phonograph player, you certainly don't know, because until now many
people have collected it
On April 27, 1898, Oliver Lodge developed the invention of the Transducer and was patented in the
United Kingdom. In January 1913, two scientists namely Edwin S. Pridham & Peter Laurits Jensen,
founders of the Commercial Wireless and Development Company patented a device called Radio
Loudspeaker. Then in 1915, their company called the Magnavox Company installed and operated its
first Soundsystem in the Panama-Pacific Exposition in San Francisco, and this is the FIRST Sound
System in the world. Because they were the first to successfully amplify speech and music directly
(Live Music & Speech sound reinforcement system) until it could be heard at a considerable
distance.Dan pada September 1919, Magnavox Company memberikan Sound Systemnya untuk
digunakan oleh Presiden Amerika Serikat, Thomas Woodrow Wilson, yang pada saat itu digunakan
untuk Pidato Sambutan.
Imagine if there are no findings like that, how we make an event or event, how we launch our
products, how we make Live Music and so on. Such is the brief history of the Sound System until it
has been developed again to date.
