1.2 SANDLINE DRUM

1.3 DRAWWORKS FRAME


Fabricated mild steel with 5/8 in. side plates, bolt on sealed case for oil bath chain
lubrication, outboard mounted clutch on both Tubing drum, with bolt on covers.
Lubrication points are located outside of draw works frame for ease of maintenance.

1.4 DRUM
Fabricated from 1 ¼ in. plate, the end plates of Tubing drum are reinforced with
welded gussets to insure maximum strength and durability.

1.5 BRAKE SYSTEM


Tubing drum system unitized conventional adjustable linkage systems, with woven
and molded brake blocks. Drum has water circulated flanges for cooling.

1.6 CHAIN DRIVES


All chains are fully enclosed for oil bath lubrication insuring longer life and cleaner
operation.

1.7 RIGHT ANGLE GEARBOX


Fabricated 1,000 Horsepower Input Driven with 1810 Series Drive Line, Direct
output to drive sprocket, Oil bath lubricated, and mounted to carrier frame.

1.8 AUXILIARY BRAKE


One (1) Kobelt 60” water cooled disc brake with single caliper mounted on Tubing
Drum with control at operator’s platform. Guard is fabricated with expanded metal
for maximum cooling and safety.
1.9 OPERATOR CONTROLS
Controls for the operator are located behind the drawworks frame at the mast base
and can be hydraulically raised for optimal visibility and include engine start,
emergency stop, gear selector, clutch and throttle valve, brake handle, auxiliary
brake control and winch control. .

1.10 COMPOUND
Fabricated and designed for 1000 HP input manufactured by Cotta Manufacturing.
Compound has gear driven input and output shafts with pressurized lubrication and
oil cooler.

1.11 ROTARY DRIVE


Torque tube rotary drive to rear of carrier with Wichita Model 3-14 friction clutch
installed in the system. Complete with 1810 series torque tubes.

2. ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

2.1 POWER SOURCE


Two (2) D-3408 DITA Engines Rated 515 Horsepower each at 2100 RPM complete
with radiator, hydraulic power steering pump, remote transmission oil cooler, 12 volt
alternator, 12 volt electric starter, air inlet safety shut-off assembly, 28 CFM air
compressor, air governor assembly, dry type air cleaner, spark arrestor muffler
exhaust system, safety shutdown for low oil pressure, engine brake, and high coolant
temperature.

2.2 TRANSMISSION
Two (2) Allison Model 6061 transmissions which provide six (6) forward speeds and
one (1) reverse.
3. RIG CARRIER

3.1 CARRIER
Falcon Rigs, Inc. Heavy-Duty I-Beam off-highway carrier with tridem three (3)
front steering axles, tandem (2) rear drive axles and two (2) tag axles.

3.2 CARRIER FRAME


Fabricated from 24” X 84# wide flange I-Beam with cross members for maximum
strength. 3/16 in. diamond tread steel decking is used on frame for strength and
safety. Front and rear tow bars mounted to frame for towing operations.

3.3 FRONT AXLES


Three (3) Eaton, 24,000# per axle, front steering axles with Rayco suspension. Six
(6) 445/65R22.5 Tires mounted on 22.5 “Bud” type steel wheels.

3.4 REAR AXLES


Two (2) Eaton Tandem rear drive axles rated at 60,000# with Hendrickson walking
beam suspension, Eight (8) 11:00 R22.5 tires mounted on 22.5 “Bud” type steel
wheels.

3.5 TAG AXLE


Two (2) Silent drive non-drives, tag axles mounted behind tandem drivers, with air
lift and retract, rated at 20,000#. Four (4) 11:00 R22.5 tires Mounted on “Bud” type
steel wheels. Air control mounted in box on carrier deck.

3.6 BRAKE SYSTEM


Drum Brakes on all axles and is equipped with DOT approved system. Carrier is
equipped with parking and maxi brakes.

3.7 STEERING SYSTEM


Hydraulic assist system powered by engine driven pump.
3.8 CAB
One-Man Cab mounted for left hand drive, equipped with air ride adjustable seat,
cab heater, air horn, windshield wiper, west coast mirrors, step and grab handle for
entry and exit and instrument panel.

3.9 HYDRAULIC LEVELING JACKS


Six (6) Jacks installed, Two (2) at front of carrier and two (2) rear jacks and two (2)
mid carrier jacks all equipped with lock nuts and stands.

3.10 FUEL TANK


Two (2) 150 Gallon Aluminum Tanks mounted under carrier deck.

3.11 HYDRAULIC WINCH


Two (2) Braden Model PD-12-C 12,000# first layer capacity mounted on carrier
deck with controls mounted at operator’s console.

3.12 WALKWAYS AND HANDRAILS


Folding 28” wide Grip-strut walkways extending from transmission position to
operator’s position on operator’s side of carrier and off operator’s side with
fabricated handrails, and one (1) ladder from ground to carrier deck each side.

3.13 OTHER
Two (2) sets built-in steps, one on each side near engine.
Two (2) internal load guy line binders mounted on carrier deck
Stainless steel tubing used on pneumatic and hydraulic lines on carrier.
Dual headlights on each side of carrier and NHTSA Code running lights on carrier.

4. CARRIER AIR, HYDRAULIC AND ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

4.1 AIR SYSTEM


28 CFM Air Compressor, Engine Driven, AD-9 Air Dryer, Air Supply Tanks,
Stainless Steel Piping, Hoses and control valves.

4.2 HYDRAULIC SYSTEM


Two (2) P-37 51 GPM PTO Driven Hydraulic Pump, 400 Gallon Tank complete
with filtering system, stainless steel lines, hoses and control valves.
Third (3rd) hydraulic pump system with 100HP explosion proof electric motor, a
variable frequency drive, 51 gallon/minute hydraulic pump, installed in parallel with
existing hydraulic system.

4.3 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM


Four (4) 12V High Cranking Amp Batteries mounted in steel box providing 12V
system, for carrier and electric control system.
5. TELESCOPING MAST

5.1 MAST CONSTRUCTION


Falcon Rigs, Inc. open face mast professionally engineered design meets or exceeds
API Spec 4F. All materials are properly sized and traceability is recorded with
permanent records kept on site. All mast are inspected by an independent inspection
company. Integral ladder from carrier deck to crown.

Mast is constructed using rectangular tubing in main legs of upper, lower, and base
sections and incorporating “C” braces. Mast base is stationary and tilt adjustment is
achieved with adjusting screws in the well side mast legs.

5.3 CROWN ASSEMBLY


Fabricated I-Beam Complete with Crosby Steel Sheave Cluster Grooved for 1 1/8”
Wire Line.
Fall assist post mounted in crown, Handrail mounted for walk around.
5.4 TUBING RACKING BOARD
Automatic folding Tubing Board with fingers and diving board.

5.5 HYDRAULIC RAISING SYSTEM


Two (2) 3-Stages, double acting, raising cylinders insure smooth raising and
lowering of mast.
Two (2) oversized cylinder with internal steps and track type stabilization for
telescoping. Hydraulic control valves and pressure gauge is located at operator’s
console. Flow restrictors are utilized in cylinders to control rate of decent should
hydraulic line burst.

5.6 GUYLINES
Four (4) internal load guy lines are furnished from crown to carrier. External wind
and board guylines are furnished.

5.7 LOCKING SYSTEM


Latch System is automatically engaged when in proper position and is manually
retracted
5.8 DATA PLATES
Mast rig-up and load data plates are mounted on mast base and are easily to read and
followed.

5.9 RIG SAVER


Crown-O-Matic rig saver installed on Mast and Drawworks with Controls.

5.10 HYDRAULIC CATWORKS (easy torque)


Two (2) Hydraulic Cylinders 8’ OD x 96” long mounted in mast for pipe breakout
and make-up operations. Complete with piping, hoses, and controls.

5.11 STANDPIPE
4” OD x 40’ long 5,000# working pressure with 160 degree gooseneck on top with
weld ends on bottom and top.

6. SUBSTRUCTURE

Falcon 18’ hydraulic telescoping substructure has a floor height of 18’, a width of
10’-4”, a length of 39’-9” and a collapsed height of 10’. The substructure work floor
is 15’-4” x 20’ and designed to accommodate a 27-1/2” rotary table.
The substructure is designed for an API rating of 420,000 lb. Rotary Load and a
260,000 lb. Setback Load, with a simultaneous rating of 680,000 lbs.
Complete with two (2) tong back-up post, oak boards on floor in racking area, two (2)
sets stairs from the substructure floor to the carrier deck, and one (1) set stairs from
the substructure floor to the ground.

LOAD BEAM: 5’ 6” wide x 12” high x 40’ long plated top and bottom with pin
connections for attaching to substructure.

MUDBOAT with folding ramps 9’ 6” wide x 12” high x 49’ long plated top and
bottom with tire guide and stops for spotting rig. Pinning connections for attaching to
load beam.

CHAIN DRIVE SYSTEM Elevated type system for rotary table operations using rig
rotary drive. Rotary torque system installed in elevated chain drive case complete
with torque guage.

CATWALK: 5’ wide x 42” high x 50’ long, two (2) pieces with 1/2" plate on top
with steps
on one end.

DOGHOUSE: 14’ long x 8’ wide x 8’ high with two (2) doors, knowledge box,
bench with
lid. Mounted on 8’6” wide x 40’ long x 12” high skid complete with diamond plate
on top, 8’ wide x 20’ long x 3’ high tool box built on skid under doghouse and area
for mounting closing unit on other end of skid.
Doghouse raise with (1) one hydraulic cylinder and powered with rig hydraulics and
elevate to substructure floor level.

RIG LIGHTING system including eleven (11) 4’ fluorescent fixtures and red
beacons for crown. Wiring in hard conduit and explosion proof fixtures used.
7. MUD SYSTEM

7.1. MUD PUMP

Two (2) F-1000 HP (EMSCO TYPE) triplex mud pump packages complete with two
(2) MCM 250 centrifugal charging pump, 6x8x14 driven by 40 HP electrical motor
and two (2) PX-200 lubricating Wilden air pump.
The mud pumps are powered w/ two (2) D-399B PCTA CAT. industrial power with
two (2) news C-300-100 National torque converter assy’s mounted w/air clutch on
two (2) heavy duty 3-runner 18” I-beam oilfield master skids.

Engine HP rating: 1.000 HP @ 1.200 rpm.


Both units are equipped with hydra-mechanical safety shut down (H.S.M.O.)

7.2. MUD TANKS


Three (3) tanks 1400 bbl mud system. All tanks (50’ x 10’ x 8’) on a three runner oil
field type skid with loading hitches on both ends for tail boarding.
Tanks has internal ladders to each compartment, equipment supports, fold down type
handrails and covered with galvanizes bar grating.

Mud system consists of the following:


SHAKER TANK (TANK#1) 440 bbl capacity with (5) compartment:

1. - Trip tank 38bbl capacity


2. - Shale pit 75bbl capacity with M-I Swaco Mongoose PT Dual Motion Adjustable
Shaker.

3. - Desander pit 88bbl capacity with Derrick desander Model DSV-10-2.

4. - Desilter pit 89bbl capacity with Derrick 4” hydrocyclone, Model S-412-S


5. - Degasser pit 150bbl capacity with Derrick Vacu-Flo 1200 degasser.
6. - Porch with three (3) Centrifugal pump. (2) MCM 250 Centrifugal pump, 6 x 8 x
14, driven by 100 HP electrical motor for desander & desilter and one (1) MCM 250
Centrifugal pump, 3 x 4 x 12 driven by 25 HP electrical motor.

SUCTION TANK (ACTIVE -TANK#2) 522bbl capacity with (3) compartment:

1. - Two (2) Suction active compartment 419bbl capacity with four (4) O ‘Drill
MCM agitators Model MA-10, driven by 10 HP electrical motor and Nord gearbox.
2. - One (1) Slug tank 103bbl capacity with one (1) O ‘Drill MCM agitators Model
MA-10, driven by 10 HP electrical motor and Nord gearbox.
3. - Porch with two (2) MCM 250 Centrifugal pump, 6 x 8 x 14, driven by 75 HP
electrical motor for mixing and two (2) Derrick 6 in mud mixing hopper. One MCM
250 Centrifugal pump, 6 x 8 x 14, driven by 75 HP electrical motor for degasser.
RESERVE TANK (TANK#3) 441bbl capacity with (3) compartment

1. - Three (3) reserve compartment 147bbl/each capacity


2. - One (1) MCM 250 Centrifugal pump, 6 x 8 x 14, driven by 75 HP electrical motor
for transfer drilling mud.

7.3. POOR BOY DEGASSER

48” Poor Boy Degasser (gas-buster) closed bottom type, installed on load beam, 6 in
mud inlet, and 8 in gas vent line.

One (1) 13-5/8” – 5.000 PSI double ram BOP, Shaffer SL style, flanged top and
bottom connection, BX160 ring groove, w/two side outlets 3-1/8” x 5000 PSI.

or rough service cord. The connection of mast lights are with RL 80 cord connectors.
