Lymphangiomatosis (LYMF) is a condition where a

lymphangioma is not present in a single localised mass, but in a

widespread or multifocal manner. It is a rare type of tumor which
results from an abnormal development of the lymphatic system.
Hodgkin’s disease (HD) is a type of lymphoma, which is a blood
cancer that starts in the lymphatic system. The lymphatic system
helps the immune system get rid of waste and fight infections. HD
is also called Hodgkin disease, Hodgkin lymphoma, and Hodgkin’s
lymphoma.

Lymphadenitis is the medical term for inflamed and enlarged

lymph nodes. It is usually due to an infection. Lymph nodes
are filled with white blood cells that help your body fight
infections. When lymph nodes become infected, it's usually
because an infection started somewhere else in your body.

Lymphangitis is an inflammation or an infection of the lymphatic

channels that occurs as a result of infection at a site distal to the
channel. The most common cause of lymphangitis in humans
is Streptococcus pyogenes (Group A strep), although it can also be
caused by the fungus Sporothrix schenckii. Lymphangitis is
sometimes mistakenly called "blood poisoning". In reality, "blood
poisoning" is synonymous with sepsis.

Signs and symptoms include a deep reddening of the skin,

warmth, lymphadenitis (inflammation of a lymphatic gland), and a
raised border around the affected area. The person may also have
chills and a high fever along with moderate pain and swelling. A
person with lymphangitis should be hospitalized and closely
monitored by medical professionals.

Lymphedema, or lymphatic obstruction, is a long-term

condition where excess fluid collects in tissues causing
swelling (edema). The lymphatic system is a part of the
circulatory system and vital for immune
function. Lymphedema is caused by a blockage of this
system. Lymphedema commonly affects one of the arms or
legs.

Lymphocytosis (lim-foe-sie-TOE-sis), or a high lymphocyte count, is

an increase in white blood cells called lymphocytes. Lymphocytes
are an important part of the immune system. They help fight off
diseases, so it's normal to see a temporary rise in the number of
lymphocytes after an infection.

Non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) is a group of blood cancers that

includes all types of lymphoma except Hodgkin's lymphomas.
Symptoms include enlarged lymph nodes, fever, night sweats,
weight loss and tiredness. ... Lymphomas are types of cancer that
develop from lymphocytes, a type of white blood cell.
