Rehearsal Plan
- Have Ss play a Db Major Scale
- Signal the number 1 and have the Ss play Db
- Signal the number and have the Ss play Eb
- Signal the number 3 and have the Ss play F
- Continue having students play up the notes of the scale (1-7)
- Have students play a 1, then a 4, then a 5
- Have Ss play each note for one measure of 4/4 time
- Once Ss are used to the pattern, have Ss play 3 2 3 5 note by note
- Have Ss play 3 2 3 5 in rhythm
- Have half band play 1 4 5 and the other half play 3 2 3 5
- Ask the band if they recognize the song
- Go through normal tuning routine
