9 The present process duty specification covers the design and supply of a condensing
10 steam jet ejector system to continuosly evacuate the overhead stream from Vacuum Column
11 01-T-051 of the Vacuum Distillation Unit (Unit 01).

26 A three stage ejector system to be installed (to be confirmed by MFR). The first stage
27 consists of three ejectors (two in operation and one spare) sized for 50% of stage
purpose and in any way other than that for which it is specifically furnished or outside the extent of the agreed up
28 capacity.
29 The second and third stage shall be provided with two ejectors (one in
30 operation and one spare) sized for 100% of stage capacity. Ejectors to be sized for the
31 minimum steam pressure specified on sheet 2. Vendor to check and confirm ejectors
32 satisfactory operation also at maximum pressure.

34 Condenser capacity
35 First stage condenser consists of two condensers, each sized for 100% of stage
36 capacity.
37 Second and third condensing stages shall consist of one condenser for each
38 stage, each one sized for 150% of the operating load.

NOTES:
(1) The Vacuum Column overhead pressure is 30 mmHg; the max. pressure drop in the vapor line from
column to vacuum system is 5 mmHg.
0 (2) Minimum operating pressure is 12.5 kg/cm2(g), maximum operating pressure is 16.5 kg/cm2(g).
(3) Refer to vapour composition defined in page 3 of 5.
0 (4) Vendor to propose material selection. To be reviewed and approved by TPIT/Owner.
(5) To be confirmed by MFR.
(6) Vendor to optimize interstage process pressures and temperatures in order to minimize ejectors'
steam consumption. Vendor should also optimize cooling water side by considering the
possibility to have intercondensers either in series or in parallel.
(7) 1st stage: 3 x 50% jet elements (two in operation and one spare);
0 2nd and 3rd stages: 2 x 100% jet elements each (one in operation and one spare). MFR to confirm.
(8) 1st stage Condenser: 2 x 100%;
2nd stage Intercondenser and Aftercondenser: 1 x 150% each. MFR to confirm.
(9) Shell & Tube condensers shall be designed according to ASME Sect. VIII Div. 1 and TEMA R.
(10) Installation in vertical position of the first stage ejectors in the top of the vacuum
column is preferred. MFR to confirm. Installation position of the second and third
stages ejectors by MFR.
(11) MFR scope is indicated inside the dotted box.
(12) Max. gas outlet temperature from 3rd stage condenser.
