MARCH 2014
EXHORTATION
For the New Testament believer, prayer is not just a means of religious
communication with God; it’s a fellowship. Some people pray because they’ve
been brought up to think it is a reli8gious obligation they must fulfil. True, the
Lord Jesus said ‘...men ought always to pray and not to faint’ (Lk 18:21) letting
us know that prayer is a spiritual obligation for every believer. But that is not all
God intended prayer to be.
In Lk 18:1, the Master said we ought to pray. So we know one of the reasons we
pray is because the Lord Jesus said we should. Beyond that however, we need to
understand the subject of prayer; the things to pray about and how to pray about
them.
Prayer is more than merely talking to God. Many people pray and yet many
don’t. Among the many that pray, a lot don’t have answers to their prayers
because they pray without understanding.
We need to understand that when we pray, we are making contact with the
divine essence within us. This contact strengthens our relationship with God.
Prayer is one sure way of getting yourself focused on God and getting a ‘rub-
off’ in His presence.
Prayer also has its place in bringing God’s word to pass in our lives. There are
certain things we see provided for us in God’s word but we need to do more
than merely confessing to possess them. Someone may say, ‘I am full of the
Spirit of wisdom of revelation, but it doesn’t just come by confessing it,
otherwise Paul wouldn’t have prayed for the Ephesian church that God would
grant them the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. (Ephe
1:17). You’ve got to pray for that word to take root in your life.
Thank God for outstanding successes in all our ministry programs this
1st quarter 2014; the year of Greatness. Indeed we have taken great
strides as God has magnified us in every way through the word and by
His Spirit. (Ps 92:1, Ps 18:35-36, 105:1)
Thank God for the precedence set this quarter which serves as the
springboard for greater glory and most outstanding achievements in all
our ministry programs, activities and initiatives throughout the year
(Hag 2:9, Ps 77:11-14)
Thank God for our great Man of God Rev. Chris Oyakhilome as he
unfolds God’s plan in more nations of the world. We declare that his
words, messages through every platform, such as the internet, Satellite
and terrestrial TV, print etc will win millions of souls around the world
into the kingdom; completely altering the mindset of the people. (Mat
28:19 Mt 24:14).
We declare that every goal set for this year by all our churches and
ministry arms will be fulfilled and even exceeded resulting in
tremendous testimonies and ‘the world will begin to wonder …..WHO
ARE THESE?’ for indeed it is the Year of our Greatness (Josh 3:7).
Pray for wider distribution of all our ministry materials, reaching all
nations of the world through several ministry initiatives. (Rhapsody
Mandate, Healing from Heaven distribution, GDN etc) We declare that
our materials prevail over every human law; opening for us, great and
effectual doors of opportunities for ministry in every city, country and
continent. (Col 4:3, 1Cor 16:9).
Pray that the aim and purpose of this special programme will dawn in the
heart of every Pastor, leader and member of our various churches. Pray
also that every Pastor will be so full of the anointing of the Spirit and
ready to speak the word with power. (Lk 4: 14-15, Jn 4: 32-35)
Pray that through these programmes, the word of God will spread
throughout our different nations; many will come to know the love of
God and receive salvation; healings and mighty works will be wrought
through the preaching of the gospel. (Acts 5:28, Acts 6:8)
Pray also that the soul of our nation will be taken for Jesus through this
programme. ( Acts 19:20)
Pray that our brethren will make themselves Available to every activity
that will culminate in the success of the program (early morning prayers,
prayer chain, publicity etc. (John 9:4, 2 Cor 8:3-5)
Pray that God’s Anointing will be upon every publicity material (fliers,
chest tags, IV cards, Banners etc), each will bring about an increased
awareness of the program and cause many to attend the program.
(1 John 5:4)
CONFESSIONS
Pray that every young person will embark on a journey of self discovery
and see the latent abilities in him/her and begin to seek for ways and
opportunities of expressing them and thereby improving/building their
nations. (Ephe 2:10 amp, Dan 1:17)
Declare that the word of God is growing and prevailing in the lives of
our young people and they are shielded from the corrupting influences
in the world. (Dan 1:8)
The pictures of greatness that every delegate to the Youth camp will see
as Pastor ministers to them will burn in their hearts and will become a
driving force in them, propelling them to go for knowledge in different
fields and also to impact the cities from where they came to attend the
programme. (Dan 1:17, Lk 24:32)
The delegates are equipped with the word and through the ministry of the
Spirit they will carry a fresh fire and zeal from the Easter youth camp, to
make tremendous impact irrespective of the nation where they reside. (2
Tim 1:13)
Pray for the young people in our ministry, that they’ll come to know that
God has chosen and ordained them to impact nations and is preserving
them for this purpose and so they will continually yield themselves to the
promptings of the Holy Ghost and shun every form of peer pressure. (1
Pet 2:9, 1Thess 2:12, 2 Tim 1:9)
MEMBERS OF THE CEC/ALL OUR PASTORS
Pray for God’s Spirit to mantle them continually and fill them with
divine wisdom as they carry out the work of the ministry. (Deu 34:9,
Pro 2:6, Isa11:2, Lk 2:40, 52).
Declare that all our Pastors are strengthened continually in their inner
man with might; they function as sons of consolation and pillars of
strength in the ministry. (Eph 3:16, 1Sam16:18, 1chron 12:1-2)
Declare that they walk fearlessly and boldly in the faith of the gospel
as they carry out the vision with our man of God Pastor Chris.
(1Chron11:10, 1Chron 12:2, Acts 14:1-3).
Declare that their work is sanctified by the Holy Ghost and the savor
of the knowledge of Christ is made manifest through them in every
place. (2Co 2:14).
Pray that their families would continue to abound and grow in grace
and in every good work having favor with God and with all men.
(2Cor 9:8, 1Sam 2:26, Ps 5:12, Pro 3:4).
