    The Enterpreneurial Opportunities For Tourism Village Development

    Hi folks! How’s today? Must be great and marvelous, right? Yash, I have a good news for
    whom read this blog that this is an account of tourism and guiding official.
    Before it, lemme introduce you what exactly the tourism and guiding is. We are the students of
    English Letters Department in Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University of Malang.
    One of the the subject which must be fullfilled in the 5th semester is tourism and guiding class.
    Yep, the profession of tourism and guiding class 2016. That’s we are!
    Are you interested in reading this opening? Ok, keep reading guys because we have a big and
    awesome agenda in conduct the class.
    So, do you know what actually we are doing in tourism and guiding class? Well, one of the
    interesting project which be held by us is training guiding in the tourism places with the foreign.
    And where is the tourism places? So keep reading up in the next story guys!

    Waduk Selorejo is One of The Best Tourism Place in Malang


    When we are talking about Malang, first come to our mind is it’s tourism place, from
    many of tourism places in Malang, there is one Waduk named Selorejo. it placed in Pandansari
    village, Ngantang sub-district, Malang. In its history, this reservoir has existed in the colonial
    era in Indonesia. Because this reservoir was built in the Japanese colonial order. this reservoir
    was built to prevent flooding, but the main function of this reservoir is actually as a power plant
    as well as irrigation for the area in the west. This reservoir dammed several large rivers such
    as Kali Konto, Lahar Kukiman, Kwayangan River, and several small rivers.
    Hydro-energy (PLTA), aquaculture and irrigation. This reservoir located in Ngantang,
    Malang has been inaugurated directly from President Soeharto on 22th December, 1970. Until
    now, Perum Jasa Tirta manages the Selorejo Reservoir which is already included in one of the
    BUMNs. Because of the beauty of the scenery, it now makes it one of the tourist destinations.
    On the west side also stretches Selokurung Hill which is the Tomb of Pangeran Trunojoyo as
    well as being the boundary of Malang with Blitar.
    When you are arriving there, you can see three mountains surround the Waduk. The
    three mountains are Kelud Mountain, Anjasmoro Mountain, and Kawi Mountain which make
    it beautiful from far. The price to enter Waduk Selorejo is Rp 10 thousands, you can also rent
    boat to go to Jambu Island, the cost rent of the boat is around Rp 50-100 thousands per hour
    while the price to enter the Jambu Island is about Rp 5 thousands, when you are on the way to
    the Jambu Island, you can see so many durian’s trees, there is also Eceng Gondok (a plant
    which lived on the water) which cover a little part of Waduk which make it looks beautiful.
    Not only that, there is also playground for kids and you can also fishing there while enjoying
    your holiday.
