JUDICIAL AFFIDAVIT
OF DIONISIO SATURNINO
I, DIONISIO SATURNINO, of legal age, Filipino, married

and a resident of Lapu-lapu Street, Digos City, under oath
aver:
1. I am being examined by Atty. Pamela Carr Holt, whose

office is located at 34 Rose Street, Digos City, for my
direct testimony in the case entitled Juana dela Cruz vs
Juan dela Cruz as Civil Case No. 34, 489-17 for
Annulment of Marriage, pending at the Regional Trial
Court of Digos, Branch 18;
2. I am answering her questions to me fully conscious

that they are under oath and that I may face criminal
liability for false testimony or perjury;
3. I am providing answers to my examination based on

my personal knowledge being the witness of Petitioner
Juana dela Cruz in this case; that my answers are
relevant to the above cited case; thus:
Q1: Do you know Spouses Juana dela Cruz

(Juana for brevity) and Juan dela Cruz (Juan
for brevity)?

A1: Yes, sir.
Q2: How did you meet them?
A2: I met the spouses in 2011 when I transferred

from Davao City to Digos City. They have
become my neighbors since then.
Q3: How was your relationship with the Spouses

as neighbors?
A3: My wife and I are really close to the Spouses

and their son, Jose dela Cruz (Jose for
brevity). We often visit their place and
celebrate with them during special occasions.
Q4: Did you notice anything unusual between the

Spouses when you are around them?
A4: Yes.
Q5: Like what?
A5: They always fight even in the presence of

other people.
Q6: How do they fight?
A6: They shout loudly at each other. The whole

neighborhood can hear them.
Q7: Do you know the reason as to why they are

fighting?
A7: Juana told us that they are always fighting

because of Juan’s unemployement, habitual
drinking sessions, and his mistress.
Q8: What is the demeanour of the Spouses when

they fight?
A8: Juan is more aggressive than Juana. He

would often throw things, especially when
he’s drunk.

Q9: Did you ever see Juan physically hurt Juana
or their son, Jose?
A9: No. I did not see him physically hurt Juana

but I heard him say something which caused
me to call the police.
Q10: What did you hear?
A10: While they were shouting at each other, I

heard Juan shouted “sumbagon tika usab
karon (I will punch you again).” Juana was
sobbing loudly.
Q11: What did you do after you heard Juan say

those words?
A11: I immediately called the police and reported

a household disturbance.
Q12: Is this police report the household

disturbance you reported?
A12: Yes, it is. This document marked as Annex

“A” is the police report I have mentioned
earlier.
Q13: How was the relationship of the Spouses

after that fight?
A13: Their relationship turned sour and then they

separated.
4. I am executing this affidavit to attest to the truth of the

foregoing facts for all legal purposes it may serve.
