Writing Sentences → Types of Sentences

Level: High School


A declarative sentence makes a statement and ends with a period.
An interrogative sentence asks a questions and ends with a question mark.
An exclamatory sentence shows strong feeling and ends with an exclamation mark.
An imperative sentence tells someone to do something and ends with a period or exclamation mark.

Write a sentence according to the sentence type that is written next to the number. Make
sure to use the correct punctuation at the end of each type of sentence.
