Ohm's Law
Ohm's Law
Ohm's Law
I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to:
A. Identify the three basic formula in computing the volts, resistance and electric current.
B. Calculate problems using the ohms law triangle technique.
C. Appreciate the importance of calculating the ohms law through problem solving.
III. Procedure
A. Preparation
a. Routine Activities
Greetings
Checking of Attendance
b. Review
What are the basic parts of a circuit?
How is it important to understand the connection of a circuit?
c. Motivation
The teacher will divide the class into two groups. Each group
should have a triangle puzzle containing a letter that completes the word
puzzle. The fastest group will win the game.
B. Lesson Proper
- What is ohms law?
- Who discover the ohms law?
- What are the relation of voltage, current and resistance n ohms law?
- How to compute ohms law using the triangle technique.
-
C. Application
Activity ( recitation – board work)
D. Generalization
What is the importance of knowing on how to compute the relation of
voltage current and resistance?
IV. Evaluation
Directions: Solve the following problem using the triangle technique and choose the correct
letter of your answer and write t on your paper.
1. An electric bill has a resistance of 25 ohms and will not operate on a current of
less than 0.25 amp. What voltage is needed?
A. 0.01 V B. 100 V C. 6.25 V D. 25 V
2. If the voltage dropped across a 5 ohm resistor s 15 volts. What is the current?
A. 45 amp. B. 3 V C. .333 amp. D. 3 amp.
3. What is the resistance of a radio receiver that draws 0.5 amp. From 110 volts line?
A. 129.41Ω B. 93.5Ω C. 0.0077Ω D. 110Ω
4. What current will flow through a coil having a resistance of 6 ohms if the voltage is 48
volts?
A. 288 A B. 8 A C. 8 Ω D. 125 A
5. If a circuit has a resistance of 100 ohms with 1 amp. Of a current. What is the
voltage?
A. 100A B. 100V C. 1000V D. 0.01V
