Ruins of the 800-year old grand Sun temple in Konark, Orissa. The destroyed structure seen in the picture
formed the original temple of the Sun-God. The remaining structure, visible in this picture, is just the grand
entrance to the temple. The temple was constructed in the form of a grand chariot. It is one of the greatest
artistic achievement of ancient India.
