The document outlines procedures for shutting down and restarting a power plant from the national grid. The shutdown procedure involves stopping generators, opening circuit breakers in a specified sequence to isolate transformers and transmission lines. The restart procedure closes circuit breakers and switches in reverse order to restore power from the grid, check parameters, and restart auxiliary equipment and generators as needed. Possible breaker closing configurations are also listed.

Plant shutdown procedure:
1. Stop all generator.
2. Open the circuit breakers of three auxiliary transformers at 415V side (Q4, Q1, Q2 & Q3) one by one according to this written sequence. 3. Run the black start generator (BAG 901) & Check all the parameter. 4. Open the circuit breakers of three auxiliary transformers at 11KV side (BAA 901, BAA 902 & BAA 903) one by one. 5. Close the circuit breaker of black start generator (Q7) after finding all the parameters normal. 6. Try to maintain minimum load of auxiliary of the power plant. 7. Open the outgoing circuit breakers of three power transformers at 11KV side (BAO 901, BAO 902 & BAO 903) one by one. 8. Open the incoming circuit breakers of three power transformers at 132KV side (Q0 of panel AEE901, Q0 of panel AEE902 & Q0 of panel AEE931) one by one. 9. Open the line circuit breaker (Q0 of panel AEE 910) 10. Open the line isolator (Q9 of panel AEE 910) 11. Close the earth switch (Q8 of panel AEE 910), if grid dead or under maintenance, otherwise no need to close. 12. After all try to reduce steam lose due to running of auxiliary boiler only. 13. Time to time check fuel Tank level of Black start generator & Auxiliary boiler.
Power restoring procedure of the plant from national grid:
1. Open the Earth switch (Q8 of panel AEE 910) if it is closed. 2. Close the line isolator (Q9 of panel AEE 910) 3. Check the three phase voltage in analog meter (Bus Voltage – V8) of panel AEE 910 by selecting volt meter selector switch. 4. Close the line circuit breaker (Q0 of panel AEE 910) 5. Close the incoming circuit breakers of three power transformers at 132KV side (Q0 of panel AEE901, Q0 of panel AEE902 & Q0 of panel AEE931) one by one. 6. Check the alarm and reset, if necessary. 7. Close the outgoing circuit breakers of three power transformers at 11KV side (BAO 901, BAO 902 & BAO 903) one by one. 8. Check the alarm and reset, if necessary. 9. Close the circuit breakers of three auxiliary transformers at 11KV side (BAA 901, BAA 902 & BAA 903) one by one. 10. Check the alarm and reset, if necessary. 11. Close the circuit breaker of black start generator (Q7) 12. Close the circuit breakers of three auxiliary transformers at 415V side (Q4, Q1, Q2 & Q3) one by one according to this written sequence. 13. Stop the black start generator (BAG 901) and keep it in stand-by mode. 14. Strat all the auxiliary as per requirement of the plant. 15. Start the generator one by one as per NLDC demand as priority basis.
