The Zipline Adventure

The narrator rides a zipline across a river in a large park in Gura Humorului, Romania. Though their parents warn it is dangerous, the narrator convinces them to let them try it. While waiting in a long line, an instructor explains how to secure the safety belts and launch off the platform high above the river. The Zipline Adventure

I was at Gura Humorului with my parents, walking in a very large park ,


when I suddenly saw a zipline crossing over a river. I was very curious to ride
this zipline. My parents told me that was really dangerous, but still they didn’t
convinced me to quit. Eventually, they agreed with me to ride that fabulous
zipline. Ok! I had to wait in line – and it was an over 2 metres long one. So, I
waited patiently for my turn to come. A gentleman kindly explained me how to
ride the zipline. I secured all the belts connected to the cable and I let myself
slipping under it. Wowww! What a strange and amazing feeling I had! I’d never
felt like that before! My stomach just dropped out when I stepped off to begin
soaring through the air ! I was at about 15 metres above the river. Gliding along,
I could feel the adrenaline rush – an exhilarating feeling that I was whipping
through the air without the aid of an airplane, helicopter, or other type of
vehicle. As the wind whipped through my hair and I zipped toward the other
side, it was truly the most freeing experience I could imagine. If you’ve ever
looked up in the sky at a bird in flight and thought “Wow, wouldn’t it be
amazing to fly?” this is probably the closest you’ll come to that feeling!

Soaring above the river and the treetops was super fun, but it was also
about nature and my surroundings, as I could see the entire amazing scenery of
that park.

When I arrived on the other side of the river, my heart was really
pounding. It was the tuffest adventure in my whole life!
