MARKETING STUDY

A. Market Description

The target market of Chayote Pickled with Mixed Vegetables is the


population of Senior High School students of Mabini Colleges
Incorporated.

1. Size

The target market of Chayote Pickled with Mixed Vegetables is


initially small.

2. Competition

There are few competitor inside of the Mabini Colleges. But this
product is unique from other competitors, instead of papaya we use
chayote as our main ingredient.

3. Geographical Location

Chayote Pickled with Mixed Vegetables is located at Kapitan Isko


St. Daet, Camarines Norte inside of new building and main campus
of Mabini Colleges Incorporated. The product are available starting
8:00 am until 5:00 pm.

4. Population

The 2019 total population of Senior High School students of


Mabini Colleges Incorporated is 842. Chayote Pickled with Mixed
Vegetables only focuses on the 382 students sample size.
5. Age Group

This product considers the market segmentation of its costumers.


Age is some of the demographical pondered. The goods are declared
appropriate to a particular age group; students fifteen years old above
(grade 11, grade 12) to adults.

B. Demand analysis
Chayote with mixed vegetables focuses on 99% (833) of the
population of SHS students in Mabini Colleges aging 15 years old and
above. Based on result of the survey conducted using Slovin’s formula
which has 3% margin of error, out of 382 respondents of SHS students of
Mabini Colleges 240 said that they eat Atsara (pickled). Out of 382
respondents 251 are willing to buy the proposed product.

1. Marketing Task and Philosophy

Chayote mixed with vegetable are available from Monday to Thursday


at 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Chayote mixed with vegetable aims to satisfy
the taste buds of the costumers.
