• Morning live reporter on WCIA’s The Morning Show, with nearly a dozen live reports every
morning, followed by packages for later newscasts.
• Reported for the evening newscasts and MMJed weekend newscasts prior to the morning show.
• Responsibilities also include digital coverage, ranging from Twitter to Facebook to Instagram.
• Launched a podcast for WCIA 3 News called Chews and News, drawing on my food blogging
experience to interview local restauranteurs and members of the food industry throughout Central
Illinois.
Producer, FOX6 News; Milwaukee, Wisconsin – 2016-2019
• Oversaw the creation, production and execution of the 6AM weekday morning newscast from June
2016 – October 2018, maintaining #1 ratings for 24 consecutive months in the key demographic of
adults 25-54.
• Emmy-Nominated for Outstanding Achievement for Morning Newscast – Larger Markets (NATAS
Chicago/Midwest Chapter)
• Produced nightly newscasts on weekends and political content throughout the week beginning
October 2018. Worked with managers to implement the use of AP Votecast’s surveys for the 2018
Midterms. Produced daily summaries of political events, identifying key soundbites for newscasts
and digital platforms under deadline, gathered elements for shows/packages and built sources
amongst various campaigns and political offices. Wrote articles about political stories for digital
platforms.

Producer, WAVE 3 TV; Louisville, Kentucky – 2014-2016
• Won the 2015 Regional Emmy for Breaking News Coverage in the Ohio Valley Chapter of the
National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
• Worked in a team environment to organize a full week of high-intensity coverage of the Kentucky
Derby, managing on-air talent, communicating with local businesses, PR teams and government
officials to book segments.
• Took the initiative to create well-researched political fact-checkers during election seasons.
Reporter/Producer, KOMU-TV; Columbia, Missouri – 2012-2014
• Worked under deadline to produce visually compelling content for broadcast and digital
• Traveled to Moore, Oklahoma as a representative of the station, where I created, reported and
produced on-air content about the aftermath of the deadly EF-5 tornado in May 2013.
