The document outlines the sequence for operating a turbine, including:
1. Releasing emergency buttons and ensuring proper battery and pump conditions before vacuum pulling.
2. Pulling a vacuum by starting condenser and vacuum pumps, then starting air compressor once vacuum is reached.
3. Rolling the turbine by pressing start and reset buttons to gradually increase RPM up to synchronization speed.
4. Synchronizing the turbine by matching its frequency to the grid and closing the breaker.

1. Release Emergency button at the local push button stations in Turbine area, cooling tower area and turbine related panels. 2. Emergency trip from TCP panel has to be released. 3. Battery charging panel should be charging and normal condition. 4. Hotwell level should be approx. 55%. 5. Inlet line vent should be closed. 6. EOP Motor should be auto mode and STOP condition. 7. Barring gear motor should be auto/TCP mode and running condition (300 APM from Governor-1) 8. AOP should be auto/TCP mode and running condition. 9. Vapor extractor motor should be TCP mode and running condition. 10.CEP motor 1&2 and ACOP motor 1&2 should be manual/TCP and stop condition. NOTE: Further steps to be carried out on the clearance from the field operator. Vacuum Pulling Procedure: 1. Put CEP motor 1 to manual/TCP mode and press start button. Put CEP motor 2 to auto mode and monitor the CEP discharge pressure in the FIQR or vice-versa. 2. Put the GVC motor to TCP mode and press start button. 3. Once the vacuum pulling completed (0.92- 0.95), put ACOP motor 1 to manual/TCP mode and press start button or vice-versa. 4. Acknowledge and reset the annunciator alarm. NOTE: Further steps to be carried out on the clearance from the field operator. Turbine Rolling Procedure: 1. The inlet steam pressure should be 13.5 bar and temperature should be more than or equal to 250 deg. Celsius. 2. Press SOV reset button and check the SOV reset indicator. 3. Long press for LP reset button and put the ACOP motor 2 to auto/TCP mode or vice-versa. 4. Acknowledge and the reset the annunciator alarms. 5. Press ESV reset button and acknowledge and reset the annunciator alarms. 6. Check the trip alarms at the annunciator, if any clear them. 7. Press start permissive reset button. 8. Press reset button at governor and check for the reset alarm to be disappear from the governor at F1 button. 9. Press RUN button for rolling of turbine and check for the F4 indication. 10.RPM gradually increase automatically. 11.At 400 RPM, barring gear motor stops automatically, If not, press the emergency stop button immediately. 12.At 800 RPM, speed holds for 20 min/8 min depending on cold/hot ramp. 13.At 2000 RPM, speed holds for 3 min/1 min depending on cold/hot ramp. 14.At 7800 RPM. AOP motor stops automatically. 15.At 8325 RPM, turbine ready for Synchronization. Before Turbine Synchronization: In Turbine Breaker Panel: Breaker OFF condition. Reset Auto trip. TCH healthy condition. Spring charged condition. Breaker in service position. Earth switch OFF condition. In Turbine Synchronization panel: Reset the alarm in the Generator protection Relay. Reset the trip alarms at the Annunciator. Vacuum contactor breaker has to be closed. Synchronization Process: Put the AVR to local mode by selector switch. Excitation on and monitor the voltage development at the Voltmeter. Put the AVR to Remote mode by selector switch. Switch the Coarse/Fine selector switch to fine position. Switch the auto /manual selector switch to manual position. Switch the live On/Off selector switch to ON position. Switch the breaker selector switch to 52-1 CB position. Control the frequency from the speed Raise/Speed lower push buttons. Ensure the clock wise rotation at synchroscope. Switch the auto/manual selector switch to auto position. After synchronization, coarse /Fine selector switch to OFF position. Switch the auto /manual selector switch to OFF position. Switch the live On/Off selector switch to OFF position. Switch the breaker selector switch to OFF position. Put the TSW switch (from TCP Panel) to enable position to increase thr load more than 700 KW. Turbine Trip Process: Decrease the load less than 1MW. Trip the TG breaker control switch. Put the AVR to local mode by selector switch. Excitation Off and put the AVR to REMOTE mode by selector switch. Press Emergency stop at TCP panel. Put the TSW switch to disable position.
