    the teenage years can be full of excitement opportunities and newfound freedoms

    yet they can also be times fraught with worry about exams relationships
    and keeping up with peers and the latest trends
    for some this burden can become so overwhelming they take their own lives
    suicide is never the answer
    there's always hope
    if you're a school principal
    put a plan in place for helping students and teachers to stay mentally healthy
    organize training for staff on what signs to look out for
    and how to have sensitive and compassionate conversations
    create a safe school environment
    where students and staff
    know they can seek help
    and talk to someone if they need to
    a few words can make a world of difference
