OBSERVE SAFE LIFTING PRACTICES ALL TIME IN ALL ASPECTS
Common Factors for Accidents related to Heavy lifting
• Falling objects from lifting.
• Overturning of the Crane.
• Collision with Obstacles.
• Failure of safety devises.
• Overloading of crane.
• Reaching beyond the lift chart.
• Stand or walk beneath suspended loads.
• Ride or Climb on suspended loads. Leave the suspended load unattended.

Preventive Measures for Accidents related to Heavy lifting.


• Selection of Capable & Healthy Cranes, Lifting Equipment’s and Tools & Tackles Based on weight, height, dimension of the Lifting
item.
• Prepare Method Statement & HIRA in consultation with Crane operator & Rigging foreman.
• Ensure the crane & lifting equipment’s inspected and Its Safety Devises are working condition and having valid TC.
• Deploy only Authorized Slingers / Signalers Attach or Detach loads,
• Deploy Authorized Signal man to signal crane operator. In case more than one signal man required Conduct pre lift training on spot.
• Use Adequate & Single length Tag lines.
• Never Wrap Tag line around hand or Body.
• Provide indicative barrier, Caution boards Deploy Watch Guards.
• Use Effective Communication System (PA system).
• Never pass load above the People.
