PraRes2 Chapter 1
Living this life in this generation is more stressful and frustrating. Given the high
cope up and evolve as much as we can so that we can stand out among the
rest. Thus, we train, we study and we push ourselves to grow more. Throughout
that evolution, if you succeed, you must evolve again and again. Our lives are
occupied by our academic activities. We often skip meals just to finish our work
which badly affects our physical and mental health. Of course, if you do not
work, you will not earn money and without money there is no food.
Food is an essential part of everyone’s lives. Basically, we eat to live. Every cell
in our body depends on a continuous supply of calories and nutrients that helps
Food is not limited as the source of our energy, it also gives us happiness and
contentment that gives us the drive to work. All of us have turned to food at one
control our emotions, and to satisfy needs. Satisfying this need fulfills only a
small portion of the first step in Abraham Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. Although
it only occupies a small portion, it greatly affects all of the other needs above it.
Eating is something people often take for granted until faced with a situation in
which they are unable to eat. The loss of the ability to eat is similar to any loss

The ability to eat and the enjoyment of eating are important aspects of good
quality of life. In other words, “being able to eat what I want, when I want, where
I want” makes us feel good. In our food industry today, there are many food
innovations that possesses the quality of being carried easily and can be eaten
while walking or anywhere you like, for short the convenience. Here in the
Philippines, given that our people are hardworking, we demand food products
that are cheap, accessible and easy to consume. For instance, millennials really
liked the sense of putting a serving of fried French fries on top of a cup with the
drink of their choice but French fries are originally from Belgium and Filipinos
embraced it, what more if we infuse Filipino cuisine to food products of the
modern generation.
Filipinos cook. Foreign influence is not limited to the way they cook, but also
introduced ingredients that are commonly used now and played a big role
boiling, grilling, roasting and steaming. Filipino cuisine is very diverse that
you can’t describe it with just one dish. Unlike Philippines’ Southeast Asian
neighbors, most of the Filipinos do not eat chili-hot dishes. Yet, many dishes

and a native dish to the Muslim part of the Philippines which is Mindanao.
Inside this delicacy, cooked rice topped with ‘Kagikit’ or sautéed shredded
meat of beef, chicken or fish is found and of course it is wrapped with wilted
banana leaf which serves as its packaging. It can be eaten with spoon and
fork, with your hands or just eat it like a burger. Given that this delicacy do

For a person who does not have enough budget and time, these kind of
food products are perfect for them. Many Filipinos liked this idea thus many
mini stores popped out of nowhere, offering the same product but
competing with the quality of the product. Since they are cheap and fast to
make, the quality and nutritive value suffers. Hence, many people turned
especially the United States and other countries, because they think it is
more worth it and it actually adds up in their social status. On the other hand,
we can still claim that Filipino cuisine is a force to be reckoned with because
we are a melting pot of diverse and abundant supply of raw materials but
because of some food stores, their bad products left a scar on Filipino

Most of the existing food products in our food industry are processed, the

Filipinos do not consume and patronize local products that much. The love
and loyalty for one’s own pride and identity is slowly vanishing. Some of the
food stores here in Santa Rosa, specifically here in Balibago, Complex, offer
food products that are not that safe to eat, low in nutritive value, and not

product that has aspects from fast food and local cuisine combined. On the
other hand, the proponents would like to know if this product can meet all

the expectations of a consumer (includes affordability, convenience, taste,
and many more) that will solve their problems especially their reasons why
they cannot take lunch on time. The study will also try to know if the product
will tap the generation’s demand for food. The researchers are trying to find
Since the present food industry always offer canned, fast food, processed
products, although it may really help many people in some ways, The
proponents of this product would like to break this mold. The food that many
famous fast food stores serve might not be that harmful in one’s eyes, but once
it entered the body, the person who consumed the bad food cannot take it back
and will suffer from its effect or it can be the other story. People’s health status
these food products better, the industry and the people behind it only make
things worse.
Focusing on the target market of this food product, the proponents strongly
believe that this product proposed will significantly positively affect the
healthy and religion-friendly product will make heads turn and will fulfill the

costumers needs. In addition, except for the fact that this product will make
people satisfied and happy, it will also make Filipino cuisine rise again.
The proponents of this study will be greatly fulfilled emotionally when this
product achieved things that are beyond the proponents, industry and the
industry is very high as the proponent’s experiences gave the idea of creating
this magnificent product. Hence, ABC Holdings will also greatly benefit on this
idea. Given that this conglomerate already ventured in the food industry, ABC
holdings already established networks on the industry and introducing this new
product will make that network strong and will cause increase in assets in the
company’s assets.
Future researchers will also benefit in this research. No one knows what the
future may hold, but there is a great probability that this research will be
relevant even though many years have passed because the product offered
here and tackled is a part of Filipino culture and history and can be passed
thing or product so that people can make solutions that will fill the gap.
The last and definitely not least organization or people that will benefit from
this research is our school, STI College Santa Rosa. This research will provide
