Arts in all its form has always been one of man’s getaway to express what he sees, feels, thinks as

well as ideals and imaginations. Ever since the beginning of time human beings have already been

incorporating arts in their daily life, it is very evident from their tools of survival, way of communication and

celebration. I think it is safe to say that human beings and art are inextricably linked to each other, because

after all art is a product and record of man’s creativity and skill. We may not all be born artista but all of us

are sure spectators of art.

Painting is one of the oldest forms of art and many significant artists are recognized for their

wonderful pieces, not just because of its aesthetic standard but the meaning behind each stroke. For my

painting the medium that I have used are; watercolour, medium sized watercolour paper, artists brush in sizes

one and three. I have decide to use watercolour rather than poster pain for the very reason that watercolour is

the best medium for beginner painters not just because it cheaper but also because it’s easier to use. Moreover,

I used the artists brush in sizes one and three because these sizes are best used in detail furnishing. The subject

of my artwork is a woman with a flower crown, and the colors that are dominant in this artwork are tones of

green and brown.

In this painting, I wish to celebrate and appreciate the significance and wonders of women in the

society. I wish to commemorate the existence of women in the world, mothers in particular. Without women,

and their relevant contributions in making the world a better place, I believe that living in this world is not as

good as it is now for women, are embodiment of love and compassion.
