    DEAR HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER,

    As an upcoming graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary education I am


    interested in pursuing a teaching career in Davis county. I am passionate about
    teaching and have had the opportunity to be involved in Davis schools for the past
    six years through volunteer work, two-years as a computer prep teacher, and as a
    student teacher. During this time, I have become proficient with classroom
    management and student engagement.

    I am currently student teaching in a first-grade classroom at Kay’s Creek Elementary.


    During this experience, I have enjoyed working with students to develop a growth
    mindset and meet their personal goals. My creative lessons and classroom
    management ideas helps me scaffold my instruction and create a well-managed
    environment, conducive for learning.

    Prior to my student teaching experience, I taught computer prep for two-years at


    Holt Elementary. During this time, I was responsible for preparing lesson plans for
    keyboarding and coding, implementing those lessons, and managing students in
    grades K-6. This experience facilitated my learning of classroom management skills
    and organizational skills that were further developed during my student teaching
