POSITION SUMMARY
Solicit past (hotel.LHM) and new business to ensure all revenue goals are achieved or
exceeded. Manage accounts to achieve guest satisfaction. Collect necessary information
and other various reports necessary to analyze individual and group pricing.
Works directly with Aquarium operations team to fulfill needs and requirements of
groups.
SALES GOALS
In House/External Groups – 50,000 Tickets ($1,075,000 Revenue)
AQ Membership – 50,000 Memberships Sold ($2,500,000 Revenue)
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsible Corporate/Association Groups, In House Accounts, Groups 51+
Solicit new business using Delphi (Hotel), outside sales calls, cold calls, etc. to prospect
new clients. Promptly respond to in-bound inquiry calls and follow-up to capture desired
business. Maintain an organized system to ensure all viable inquiries are pursued in a
timely manner. Return calls, quotes, proposals, and contracts must be completed in a
timely manner as customers may be “shopping” other properties.
Accurately book group tickets and space in systems (Accesso & Delphi). Utilize
standardized contracts and proposals, call log, and reporting functionality.
Maintain positive relationship with existing clients, keep up to date client profiles on
each client and effectively utilize this information to build rapport and capture future
sales (send birthday, anniversary, holiday cards, etc.). Meet, greet and entertain
potential and existing clients, providing information regarding the property to increase
sales.
Travel locally and out of city/state as necessary to attend trade shows, conduct outside
sales calls, promote the property, examine competition, or research potential clients.
Develop/maintain knowledge of market trends, competition and customers.
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a
combination of the following supportive functions.
Attend all property meetings as necessary.
Work closely with the hotel sales/cs/catering departments to generate new business and
service accounts.
Promptly and effectively use all communication tools including phone, e-mail, fax, mail
etc.
Perform daily facility inspections, which requires bending, stooping, reaching overhead
and moving throughout the attraction complex inside and out.
Maintain open communication with all property-operating departments.
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor such as: cross training, assisting in other
departments, etc.

All associates must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific standards
available).

Upon employment all associates are required to comply with the standards, rules and
regulations which may be established by the Company and updated from time to time.
Associates who violate property rules or have irregular attendance will be subject to
disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
The Hospitality business functions seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day. Due to
the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, associates may be required to work varying
schedules, weekends, holidays and overtime to reflect the business needs of the
property. Associates may also be required to attend group and/or department meetings
in addition to the work shift as necessary. In addition, this is a hospitality business and a
hospitable service atmosphere must be projected at all times.
