DAILY LESSON LOG IN EARTH SCIENCE

I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standard
The learners demonstrate an understanding of the amount of usable water
resources on earth.

B. Performance Standard
The learners shall be able to make a plan that the community may use to
conserve and protect it for future generations.
C. Learning Competency
1. Explain how different activities affect the quality and availability of water
for human use.( S11/12ES-Ig-16)

A. Activity ( Individual )
1. Visit the nearest body of water in the community which is not on its top
condition.
Ask the following questions:
a. How do the members of the community use this body of water?
b. What is its condition now?
c. Is it covered with water lilies or trash?

B. Analysis
a. What are the water-related activities that affect the present condition of the
body of water that you had just visited?
b. Are the destructions caused by these activities can still be restored?
c. How much is Earth’s supply of groundwater? Is it easily available to all
living things including humans? Explain your answer.

C. Abstraction
a. Give at least five activities that affect the quality and availability of water.
Explain each activity.
b. What should people do in order to minimize the effects of these activities?
c. How can you prevent these effects from occurring?
D. Application
a. Slogan Making
1. The class will be divided into ten groups, male & female students must
be equally divided.
2. Each group will make a slogan about the effects of the different activities
on the quality and availability of water.
3. The slogan can be used for the community campaign to improve the
quality of a body of water.
