    Standard Jackleg Cabin Specification


    External Walls

    Texture Coated Finish:

    The standard exterior finish to all units is 9 mm Malaysian Plywood fastened to 70 mm x 34 mm PSE
    timber uprights fixed every 400 mm. The Plywood is prepared with primer and then painted with
    high performance resin based textured paint in a choice of BS and RAL colours. External corners on
    the cabin are finished with plastic coated steel corner trims.

    Plastic Coated Steel:

    The 9 mm Malaysian Plywood fastened to 70 mm x 34 mm PSE timber uprights fixed every 400 mm.
    The 0.7 mm plastic coated steel is bonded to 9 mm Plywood and fixed to the external wall. The finish
    comes in a choice of BS and RAL colours from the standard colour chart.

    U Value - 0.68 w/m2k

    Timbercladding:

    Heat treated thermowood cladding is fixed to treated spacer latte with breather paper. The
    improved durability of Thermowood makes it an excellent material to use in the production of
    timber claddings and rain screens. The heat treatment process enables the use of finish pine and
    spruce in areas requiring a service life of up to 30 years without the need for a chemical
    preservative.

    Interior Finish

    White 12.5 mm vinyl faced plasterboard to walls and ceiling complete with two part matching H -
    Section trim.

    Skirting and coving is finished with a white 50 mm plastic two part section. The walls are insulated
    with 60 mm high density Rockwool type fibreglass Insulation.

    Floor Construction

    38 mm x 145 mm timber floor joists fixed every 400 mm and fastened to 195 mm x 45 mm rebated
    Timber Side Rails, make up the floor frame of the unit. A steel chassis is available as an option but
    are standard with units over a 9.6 m in length.

    Standard floor decking is an 18 mm T & G - P5 chipboard laminated with 2.0 mm vinyl floor covering
    in a choice of colours complete with welded seams ensuring a complete and durable bond.
    Standard insulation is a foil insulation.
    Carpet tiles can be fitted in place of vinyl flooring.

    U Value - 0.25 w/m2k

    Mono-pitch Roof

    Standard units incorporate a durable heavy duty laminate hypolon one piece blanket, laminated to
    11 mm OSB boarding fixed to 120 / 90 mm x 38 mm tapered roof Joists which are fixed to 120 / 90
    mm x 25 mm timber roof side rails.

    Water drainage from the roof drains from two hypolon synthetic rubber rainwater outlets which are
    connected to square line downpipes and shoes.

    Externally the roof is finished with spray painted galvanised steel fascia. Plastisol units are fitted with
    plastisol fascia.

    U Value - 0.48 w/m2k

    Windows

    Fully opening white uPVC double glazed windows are fitted. Windows come in a choice of sizes and
    styles. Example window sizes:

    Single Window - 900 mm x 1000 mm


    Double Window - 1550 mm x 1000 mm
    Full length feature window - 1000 mm x 2000 mm
    High Level Window - 600 mm x 400 mm

    Windows can be painted and wrapped in various colours and also be upgraded to aluminium frames.

    External Doors

    White uPVC half glazed doors are fitted. Doors and come in a choice of sizes and styles. Example
    sizes:

    Single Door - 900 mm x 2100 mm


    Door and a half - 1300 mm x 2100 mm
    Double Door - 1700 mm x 2100 mm

    Doors can be painted and wrapped in various colours and also be upgraded to steel if required.

    Internal Doors

    Internal doors are pre-finished solid core doors, hung on 1 pair of 100 mm hurling hinges, in plastic
    frames and fitted with 3 Lever Sash Locks or a latch and door furniture. Internal doors come in
    various sizes to suit the application of the building.
    Internal Partitioning

    Standard internal partitioning consists of 70 mm x 34 mm PSE timber uprights fixed every 400 mm.
    White 12.5 mm vinyl faced plasterboard is fastened to both sides of the timber uprights complete
    with 60 mm fibreglass insulation.

    Electrics

    All cabins are fitted with a consumer unit, inlet box, 5 amp light switch, fluorescent or LED lighting,
    13 amp twin socket outlets and 2 kw Convector Heaters. Other electrics are fitted where required.

    All electrics are hardwired within the fabric of the building and the specification of certain items can
    vary.

    Jacklegs

    All cabins are fitted with steel telescopic Jacklegs, sizes vary from depending on the size and weight
    of the cabin.

    Imposed Loadings

    Floor - 3.0 kN/m2


    Roof - 0.75 kN/m2
