- For all Construction Vehicles and equipment it needs to be visible in night. Reflective stickers to be in place in front, -
- Accident rear and both sides. This is applicable for all vehicles, hydra, Transit Mixers , Tyre Mounted Crane etc.
Access Road - Vehicle / Eqpt. Tilt - All Vehicles and equipment which can move on road must have fog light installed.
Travel - Vehicle / Eqpt. Breakdown - Near access from Main road to site, install markers, delineator, reflective tapes and blinker.
- Dust Generation - Road Diversion to be made as per approved drawing.
- Inconvenience to Public - All Vehicles and Equipment to be inspected by Operator / Driver on daily basis before start. Safety and Site Engineer to
perform monthly inspection using structured checklist.
- Drivers & Operators to have valid license with minimum 5 years experience.
- Reversing of Concrete Transit Mixers / Other equipment to be done with guidance to signal man with Green &
Red baton light during night hours with whistle too. (Remember low visibility will be there in night)
- Markings to be checked on weekly basis.

Site Work - Slip / Trip - Develop site plan and perform demarcation -
- Collusion of vehicle / - Provide complete hard barricade at work site and have access control.Do not permit any onlooker from Public to stand
Equipment and look at construction activity
- Accident of person - Cleaning & grubbing of work site uniformly
- Intrusion by local person - Segregate Equipment / Vehicle and Pedestrian access
- Mandatory use of Helmet, High Visibility Jacket and safety shoes for all persons irrespective of position. Other PPE’s
shall be required depending on exposure of hazard. Exposure to noise is likely to be high. Ear plugs to be provided to
all persons exposed to high noise.
- Lone worker not permitted to work at site in any location
- Site to be kept well illuminated if work is being performed in night
- Shed for relaxing during idle time having as a minimum drinking water and some seating arrangement
- First aid Box to be available at site having minimum following things: Bandage 2 Rolls, Cotton – 1 Medium Roll,
Crepe Bandage – 75mm X 5 m (2 Nos), Sterile Gauges – 4 Nos. Betadiene Ointment for injury, Medical Adhesive Tape
– 1 Roll, Small Scissors
- Regular maintenance / inspections for equipment, provision of proper handrail and steps to machinery Slopes. All -
- personnel to keep clear of all working machinery get the operators attention before approaching any machinery.
- - All persons deputed at site must have attended Safety induction and possess Induction Training ID. Only after
- Trip, Slip, Fall HSE Induction and Competency assessment of the equipment operators they shall be deployed.
- Workers hit by swinging - Daily Tool box talk must be conducted before start of any shift.

- Workers hit by moving - Before starting the equipment , operators to make a round of equipment and see below the equipment to verify
excavator or excavator that no person / animal is resting and it is safe to operate.
reversing into workers - The foreman or supervisor must ensure that all workers are kept clear of excavator swing area. If required as per site
- Electrocution. Fire burns condition the equipment movement / swing area to be marked with Caution tape.
triping hazard. - Signal man must be provided.
- Hitting underground - The excavator must have all rear view mirrors with minimal black spots for operator and operational horn.
utilities- - All tyre mounted equipment to have operational reverse Horn and blinking beacon during operation.
Excavation
- Dust/Noise/ Vibration - All utilities to be identified before starting excavation. Consult and communicate with Client for isolation or re-routing.
Wherever required permission shall be obtained and the conditions of permission to be complied.
- Use Cable Locators to identify buried utilities. This is advance planning activity and should have been performed
before 2-3 weeks from date of mobilization of equipment. Identify and mark the existing underground utilities prior to
commencement of work. If required the exact location and depth to be identified by manual excavation.
- Proper Access ladder with minimum 1m additional length out of the pit to be provided.
- The excavation area must be hard barricaded and warnings signs& Symbols to be installed.
- No person to be permitted continue work in night if he had worked in day and vice versa.
- Pre-Start meeting to be conducted to communicate all concerns, verify drawings, requirement of tools & tackles, PPE’s
etc.

WHEN CONTROLS: Before start of work and Daily
Illumination - Hitting - Work location to be well illuminated. Illumination level shall be in the range of 200 Lux. It can be checked using mobile -
- Electric Shock application in the field
- Fall in dark - Lights to be installed on poles in industrial fixtures only.
- Accident of Crane with other - Electrical Cable Management is important. It should be arranged in such position that it never interferes with ,Hydra and
equipment Transit Mixture area. Green wire shall be used as earthing wire only. All Electrical Panels shall be closed
(surrounding area)

Concreting - Cement Dermatitis - Persons performing concreting operation needs to use Gum Boots with hard toe, rubber gloves, plain goggles and Ear -
- Electric Shock plugs.
- Fall - Ensure shuttering is fixed firmly and can withstand concrete pressure. Requires to be inspected well before
- Trip commencement of concreting.
- Reversing TM may kill person - Sequence of concrete i.e. start point and subsequent progression is important. Never to start from Cantilever portion.
- Maintain two high frequency vibrators with needles standby in working condition having needle of appropriate length.
- Immediately after de-shuttering in case of any defect like honeycomb is observed shall be repaired using GP2. Stock of
GP2 shall be maintained.
- Location of Placer Boom and TM movement routes to be well planned in advance ensuring that reverse motion of TM is
minimized and Placer Boom is always operated safely.
